Now on to Wrath of the Cosmos and Vengeance code monkeys.

I saw it on the channel already, but I have to say the ST trailer is my favorite yet.  They do a great job with those.  

I can FINALLY play my favorite character!

Any guesses on how to unlock the variants?

A very happy monkey. Especially now that I can get my butt handed to me over and over again by Iron Legacy. Can't wait to see what yall do with Wrath of the Cosmos and the Vengeance format.

Of course, I'd be a happier monkey if K.N.Y.F.E were to slip backwards through the expansion time stream and find her way into Shattered Timelines.

Variant unlock guesses, about the only one that comes to mind so far is have IL incap Bunker with the card that shows Iron legacy killing the original bunker (the reason Fright Train ends up in the suit in the first place.) 

With six unlocks, hopefully they won't all be the have X then Y but not with Z or Q when L is V before I, E, or A. But not on Thursday. (Team Leader Tachyon should be something like that, just because she's ridiculous.) 

It'll be interesting to see how this round of unlocks go.  

My guess: The unlock will be conditional on having Baron Blade take out Young Legacy in Wagner Base.

So what are the 'official' difficulties of thse new villains? The only one I've fought in the actual card game was Iron Legacy... and it was brutal

But the other three I never looked into. How BS can they be?

Dreamer is a 3, La Capitan and Kismet are both 2s.

Those numbers are correct according to the wiki and the rulebook which came with Shattered Timelines.

From my experience, in play La Captain can range from a 1 to a 3 depending on her starting draw so don't let the 2 fool you into thinking she's a pushover. Kismet on the other hand, I don't think I've ever lost to her so that 2 seems generous. I put her down there with Baron Blade at a 1. Maybe when I get the chance to play her more she'll surprise me.

Cheers. Still I won't let numbers sway me. Spite's labeled a 2, and I struggle with him a lot, and on the flipside, Gloom is a 3 and I beat him constantly. X3

Variant unlock guesses, probably incomplete:

AZ: Freedom 6 Zero's ice powers are in overdrive after a bad experience, so: "Absolute Zero incaps himself with fire damage." 

Tachyon: Freedom 6 Tachy is pictured with the HUD goggles and lets everyone else draw cards, so "With HUD goggles in play, play all 3 copies of Fleet of Foot in a single turn."

Wraith: F6 Wraith appears to be using the Operative's weaponry and does Melee damage: "Wraith Incapacitates the Operative with damage from Combat Stance."

I assume Bunker, Unity, and Tempest will have to be incapped somehow to unlock their variants, but I don't have good guesses how. 

Unity incap with all Freedom 5 bots out?

Dreamer's mostly tough because you don't want to use your "all villain targets" tricks. 

Kismet can be as frustrating as Miss Information, if she manages to pull a lot of Jinx cards and gimp your heroes. 

Possibly. Or maybe with Con's Bunker in play. Or both. 

She's wearing Fixer's hat, too. Maybe he'll have to be in play or incapped. 

Golem Unity is wearing Fixer's hat because Fixer is dead - Christopher told me that before the Dark Watch Promos were released. He also said that whenever you see Fixer without having his hat, he's dead. So of course I got very excited when I saw the DW Fixer artwork… and interestingly enough, when I actually paid attention to the art on Meditation.

Iron Legacy just wrecks everyone - whenever you fight him, the game will be short. It's just a matter of who dishes out enough damage first. Fanatic can be very useful if you get the right cards in time(first-turn End of Days, then Wrathful Retribution a couple of rounds later when you're nearly dead).

Kismet I find can be tricky if she gets too many Jinxes out. Lady Luck and Inconceivable Obstruction are both pains in the arse, especially if they both come out at once. The latter is much worse in a high-target environment (and no trouble at all in the Freedom Tower ;)).

La Capitan is another one I find tends to be a bit of a pain, especially if she starts getting too many crew cards out (this can happen fairly quickly).

The Dreamer is similar to Miss Information in that she's easier with a smaller group of heroes. I think she's probably the villain I find most fun to fight from this expansion. And one of the more unusual out of all the villains because technically, she isn't one.

Apparently Friday has come early this week. The timelines have definitely shattered. The iTunes store has it available to update now.

This is gonna have the unlockable Tempest where you nuke one of your ongoings to draw 3 cards right?  Aw man, I was hoping for the variant where you can play 3 cards at a cost of 3 life, and yes I can see the gift horse and he has very nice teeth. :)

That said, are us vidgame users going to eventually get the Prime Warden variants to play with?  4 of them look like very fun variations on their base characters (can't speak for Capt Cosmic since I've never played with him period)

I haven't been able to load it onto my nook HD, unfortunately. I've tried: clearing the cache for Google Play Store, clearing the data from Google Play Store, force closing Google Play Store, verifying that I have enough storage on the device, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, completely powering the device down, and checking for Google Play Store updates (of which there were apparently none). Any other suggestions? I'm anxious to see Jim and O-X in action!

I'm putting my money on the Prime Wardens coming with Wrath of the Cosmos, seeing as that's how it was for the physical game. Doubt we'll see Rogue Agent K.N.Y.F.E. though...

You know, I just realized: Since they're doing Vengeance after Mini-Pack 3, that means we'll be seeing Ominitron IV before Omnitron III (Omniblade).
