I’m curious if any of the playtesters have figured out a way to play Scions as villains in standard-format Sentinels games. Anyone?

Perhaps in 'villains' mode? Not all of them, obviously, and for balance you could have them start at 1/2 HP (rounding down). So a 50 HP Scion would be a 25 HP villain.
I can see Aeon Master, Empyreon, Dark Mind, Faultless, Noxious the Chosen (although he'll never flip) being usable. A lot of the scion deck won't be usable though. Perhaps you could mix it with the Aeon men deck?
If any playtesters have done this they have not made it well known. Some would be easier to convert than others and if you use the Scion deck there’s a question of at least what you do with the card to summon a Scion.
You'd definitely have to reword any text refering to OblivAeon or his cards.
The only experiment I did during playtesting (early on) was subsitute OblivAeon with two villains across battle zones to simulate the experience. (Possibly substituting one villain for (H)-1 or (H)-2 team villains). I don't remember all the rules, and OblivAeon changed a lot in development that things like missions wouldn't work well in this format, but I plan to revisit the idea at some point.
I was hoping something like this would work, but so many cards in the scion deck use OblivAeon-specific mechanics, not to mention the scions themselves. It would be tricky.
Now, you could possibly use Vengeance villains as Scions more easily. Most of them seem about on par with difficulty 1 or 2 scions, although if their incaps never went away, that would add a whole other level of challenge.
Incaps become their rewards, you simply drag them through a Hall of Mirrors so that they swap Hero and Villain. A few might need further reworking (Capitan, and Ambuscade come to mind), but it basically exchanges the slightly larger dead Scion reward for a persistent bonus to one battle zone.
Never mind the Scions, I wonder if you could fit the Missions into a regular game and be super-OP just for the fun of it :D. Add in the Title deck too for even more madness!
