I’m somewhat new to Sentinels and I couldn’t find an answer to this anywhere…

I have the game on Android and I’ve been going through the One-Shots for fun, minting the new ones and collecting the past ones.

Any time I have to reinstall the game or clear the game data, however, my progress is lost and I have to re-attempt all the ones I’ve already completed.

Is there a way to sync my progress with my Google Play account? Is there something else I’m missing?

This has happened a few times now and it’s very discouraging and I don’t really see the point of continuing to try and collect the covers.

Nope.  There's no way to back up your one-shot progress.  That's why I gave up on it, too.

I take a screen shot when I get a cover so I still have them. It is super annoying that they don’t save to your account like achievements, but I assume there is a reason they don’t.

If you clear the game's data, then the game's data is deleted. The Weekly One-shot collection is part of that data.

It's stored in a file with the game data, and if you back up the game data you can restore it. iOS has native support for backing up and restoring app data, and I think there are 3rd party apps to do it on Android. Or you can do it manually with a file manager.
