I don't normally think about incap abilities when choosing heroes, but with OblivAeon, they can be a vital consideration. Frequently you'll want to claim, trade, or otherwise manipulate the reward options, but some incaps are well worth it.
-
Obviously, base Tempest's "Heroes are Immune to a damage type of your choice until the start of your next turn" incap ability is legendary.
- The Burning Stickman pointed out on the Discord that Termi-Nation Bunker's "Put a deck in its trash" incap ability comboes stupidly well with Luminary's Doomsday Devices.
- Freedom Five Legacy's trio of incap abilities ("One player may play a card/use a power/draw a card even if they would otherwise be prevented") can be extremely potent for heroes that shut down their own abilities to do the same, such as Bunker's modes, Nightmist's Mist Form, or Visionary's Telekinetic Cocooon.
- A few heroes (Tachyon, I forget who else) have "One player may take a card from their trash into their hand." Powerful enough as-is, especially so if you can grant extra plays. Combine with F5 Legacy for more fun.
- Freedom Six Bunker and Dark Watch Harpy have "put a card from a hero trash on top of its deck." This isn't a unique effect, but it is reliable. If F6 Bunker goes down and is replaced with Omnitron-X, you can basically just play a card in someone's trash.
- Similarly, Dark Watch Mr. Fixer has "Put a card in a trash pile under its associated deck," which comboes well with Rogue Agent KNYFE or Fugue State Parse.
- Normal Mister Fixer and Rook City Wraith have "Select an equipment card in a hero trash. Put it into play." Skips having to draw or play the card, but only works for equipment. Still, KNYFE, Mainstay and Writhe appreciate this a lot.
- Horus-Ra gets "Move a villain card from the villain trash to the top of the villain deck." This can lock OblivAeon into playing the same one weak card over and over again. Too bad the scions usually get to play two cards a round.
- Prime Wardens Argent Adept has "Redirect the next damage that would be dealt to a hero target to another target." If you're the only hero in your zone, it will only affect damage coming to you (or your minions), so you can better predict what damage that might be. Even if you don't use this every round, there are certain gigantic hits that you can see coming and prepare for.
- Xtreme Prime Wardens Fanatic gets "Select a target. Until the start of your turn, all hero damage is redirected to that target." Against Aeon Master or in a target-rich environment, this can turn mass attacks into one incredible punch.
- Freedom Five Wraith has "One player searches their deck for an equipment card, puts it into their hand, then shuffles their deck." That doesn't require explanation.
- I have no idea how Completionist Guise's incaps work in an OblivAeon game, but it sure could be interesting.
Anyone else have any clever ideas?

Termi-Nation bunker's "put a deck in its trash" ability also combos amazingly well with Freedom Five Tachyon's base power, especially if she can get some damage boosts. I obliterated Oblivaeon with that combo plus an Oblivaeon shard.
Setting Sun Ra can do some great things against Oblivaeon's shield that gives him armor reduction or the Source of Foes shield.
Rogue Agent Knyfe has great incap abilities against the two shields that require manipulating the environment.
Xtreme Prime Wardens Haka's ability to act as an indestructible target can eat damage targeting the weakest target, as well as give an extra target for things that need to hit H targets.

I just thought of the Tachyon one after posting this last night. That's disgusting.
Setting Sun Ra is super powerful, but of course you only get to use the good ones once....
Good call on RA KNYFE, though it's just one ability: "Reveal the top card of a deck. Put it into play or discard it." Hopefully you won't have anyone incapped when you're still working on that shield, though.
Huge Sky-Scraper shares XPW's incap, but I don't see much use for it--I'm seeing very little in the OblivAeon game that targets the hero with the lowest HP or a certain number of heroes. One side of one scion (that I can see right now). A few one-shots, but you'd have to know they were coming. Potentially handy, if you happen to have it, but not enough to build a strategy on and probably not a compelling reason to choose that hero.

Freedom Six Absolute Zero has an incap of Until the start of your turn, Environment Cards Cannot be Played. Sometimes with shields or Akash'Thriya this is counter productive, but other times with a real nasty environment like Rook City or Ruin's of Atlantis its super helpful.

The "counts as an indestructible target with 1hp" thing could be very useful if Oblivaeon decides to play that lovely card that insta-kills the hero target with the lowest hp...but like you say, it'd probably be good to know if it was coming and there are probably other incaps you'd have available which could potentially be more useful at that time.

F5 Zero can boost all damage by everyone by 2, TN Bunker can also be used to destroy someone’s ongoing or equipment to play the top two cards of their deck, Best of Times allows everyone in your zone a start of turn play in exchange for a discard, Xtreme Haka can shut down all healing, F5 Tachyon gives an extra play on the hero’s turn instead of immediately, PW Tempest can replay anything in environment or villain trash, Xtreme Tempest can boost all lightning damage by 2, TN Unity can reduce all damage dealt to non-characters by 2 (keep in mind rewards aren’t technically characters), DW Harpy allows 2 equipment plays from one player.
Xtreme Cosmic is absurd, deal yourself up to 3 damage, then draw or play a number of cards equal to the damage dealt, which means damage boosts can easily get you 4+ plays. Blood Mage Lifeline can destroy an ongoing for five draws, give everyone who discards two cards a play, or give everyone who deals themselves 3 damage a power. Regular Akash can reduce damage to and by environment by 2, or make an environment target indestructible until your next turn. And Void Akash can increase damage by environment cards to non-hero targets by 2. Truly the most surprising of shopping trips.
That’s all the obvious major unique ones yet to be mentioned, there’s some weird ones around causing self damage that I excluded, and generally ignored the damaging ones because they’re usually kinda inefficient compared to extra actions or plays.

Having finally played OblivAeon, I realize that in Phase 3, the most valuable thing you can do is prevent OblivAeon from playing cards. So Freedom Five Wraith switching into base Void Guard Writhe and letting him pull out Grasping Shadow Cloak is fantastic, as is anything that lets you recycle Take Down, Mistbound, or As the Earth Turns out of your trash.
Also, there another use for Huge Sky-Scraper and Xtreme PW Haka: several missions and a couple of shields care about how many hero targets they deal damage to. These count. Although there are a couple of cards (Temporal Fractures, Unbracing Smite, Infusion of Power) that don't make a whole lot of sense when they deal damage to a character card that isn't "your" character card.
