Hey all! Trying to figure out the correct ruling on a couple card interactions. The general theme: If Stuntman is made immune to damage (Meteor Storm, Heroic Interception, Ground Pound, etc.), does that trigger a power usage from Moving Target?

My instinct: No. The damage is not being reduced, redirected, or prevented, it is being stopped by immunity, and therefore the card conditions are unfulfilled and he gets no power usage.

My group's instinct: immunity counts as a "prevention" and so he gets a power usage.

No game hinges on this (the damage his power usage would have caused would have just come from somewhere else, we'd just have planned our turns a bit differently) but I want to play it honestly.

Thanks!

I just tested it in the video game version - immunity counts towards prevension for Moving Target.

Immunity should not count. If that is happening in the digital version, it's a bug. Moving Target specifically lists 3 mechanisms and only those 3 mechanisms count.

Meter Storm made Stuntman immune in my game and I was prompted to use a power with Stuntman. Unfortunately, I chose skip and there's no indication in the game log that I had the the option to use a power.

I would think that immunity counts as prevented. A villian target targets stuntman for damage the damage is prevented as stuntman is immune to damage.

I do have a related question to moving target, it says "When stuntman is dealt damage by a villain target, destroy this card and use a power." I was in a game with fixed point in time in play and when he took damage nothing happened. I wasn't sure if the card destruction was tied to the power use, but the game interrupted it that way.

That should allow you to still use a power in that case

Feel free to do what you like on the tabletop! The digital version is implemented to use the rules as intended by the designer of the game.
