Hey, I have a quick question about the order in which sets are being shipped out.
I understand that about a quarter of US with-box orders were sent out. Are these being sent in backer order?
If so, I wonder why mine hasn’t shipped yet. I double checked on Kickstarter, and I was order number 390 (out of 9900 or so).
So mine DEFINITELY should have been among the first 25%.
Or maybe it has been sent, but FedEx didn’t have it in their system…

Personally I’ve given up on figuring out the order as there are multiple factors that could impact it. I’ll just be patient and know it’s eventually coming.

Yeah, I'm not worried about it, personally. (I have a low number but folks I know with much higher numbers are getting their notices when I haven't.) If I understand the situation, the factory in China put the boxes into the shipping containers in the order they are in, which was supposed to be in the order GTG asked them for. Who knows if they followed the instructions correctly or not.
I figure I'll raise a concern if they say deliveries are done and I haven't received it, yet.

I'll worry about a week after GTG says they're done shipping. My experience with FedEx tracking is:
1) Order? What order? We have no order.
2) package delivered.
3) receive tracking number email with delivery date a week from whatever day it is.
4) receive package delivered notice half a second later.
sometimes 3 & 4 are switched.

It sure can feel harrowing waiting on such a big bucket of excitement, but like most, I’m aware that it will happen. Our situation is odd with this, too, as a friend of ours with a much higher backer number wouldn’t be available at his home during one of the estimated delivery updates so changed his address to ours. None of us thought to change it back after that original estimate fell through and now his pledge is shipping out to us while ours is seemingly coming in later. Mysteries, the lot of it.
The whole thing is silly, but we will be hauling that beautiful carton to him and playing a bit that weekend, so not even a huge loss! Hopefully the bit of experimentation with OblivAeon content can hold us over for the extra however many weeks and not just cause my brain to explode in anticipation!

If you had anything signed like the big poster, I think they said they weren’t able to get to those. I’m #410 so I assume that’s why I haven’t although I have a buddy around the same backer number and hes gotten his tracking. Only difference is he didnt get the signed poster.

For anyone who's trying to collate that it's by Backerkit number rather than Kickstarter number, I'm in the 700s on the former and 400s on the latter and don't have a tracking notice. So, either it hasn't shipped, or I should be pleasently surprised in the next week or so.
Only thing I can think of is that could have caused the delay is I did order the $1 art prints, and I could see them needing to take the time to open the package, slip those in, reseal and send. If that is the case though, I will be really sad.

I'm backer #1364 and I've received notice that I should expect my shipment on Thursday. I was surprised at that because my kit includes the Ultimate box, which I'd assumed meant I would be towards the end of the line. So it looks like shipping order might be a little more random than I thought.

I'm backer #1,609 and am getting the Collector's Box. I haven't received any notice yet, and I'm on FedEx Delivery Manager, so I should get notified anytime a package is sent to my address, regardless of whether GtG sends a notice or not through their system.
I did also get the art prints, so if that above theory is correct, that could be why I haven't heard anything. Sigh. Had I known I wouldn't have ordered the art prints. Oh well, I'll get it eventually I'm sure... just really excited and trying to figure out the order of all this.

I was very surpised to start up my email this morning and see I have a Fedex delivery coming from Greater than Games. My backer number was around 3000, I figured with the last update that I was not in the the first 25% of big box backers. I did not have any art prints though(Just the big box, Oblivaeon and the shiny villian cards)

To add to the Science(tm), I'm backer #34 on the Kickstarter (but #4800-something on BackerKit). Yes art prints. No signed anything. I neither have a shipping notification nor the box. People I know with much higher backer numbers on KS (I do not know their BK numbers) either have a notification or already have the box. A friend who lives about 30 miles south of me (in the same state, in case that matters) did not order the art prints and got the box today.
People in the Kickstarter comments on the last campaign update are saying that they think only people with FedEx Delivery Manager got shipping notifications, so maybe some of us early backers will get a nice surprise? But I think it's just as likely that the factory didn't put them in the right order, or put them in by BackerKit number, or any number of other possibilities.
I'm excited regardless, but would love to not have my delayed gratification be TOO delayed. :)

Well, the supposed order is:
First, all orders without the collector case in backer order
Next, all orders with the case in backer order
Depending on how the non-case orders are distributed through the backer order, it may be hard for us to figure out where we stand from our backer numbers alone.

Sure, but I think we have enough information to know that something got mixed up at the factory or in port, that sent a middle section of backer numbers out first.
For instance as Backer No. 5 I should have been in the first section of box orders shipped, but as far as I can tell mine hasn't shipped.

We’ve definitely deduced that orders with art prints have not gone out yet. It’s odd that >G hasn’t admitted this yet, but hopefully they’ll come clean about it after GenCon.
It is the last day before Gen Con, and we just unloaded, packed, and shipped around 4000 orders. These include about 90% of US backers without a case, around 25% of US backers with a case, and around 90% of Australian backers. Unfortunately, the FedEx program we use to ship to Canada completely broke their software, and those orders were not able to go out.
9,982 backers on kickstarter. I don't remember if anyone could back from Backerkit after the kickstarter ended, but I don't remember that being the case.
Numerous people in the first 25% of backers (no idea how many of those have no case) have reported they've not been notified of nor received their products.

My best guess, and it's just that, a guess: They don't know yet, or didn't as of the last update.
Not sure how the whole process has been working, but I've seen some images of the boxes the Kickstarter orders have come in, and I think they all say Group A (or whatever letter) with a list of the contents, so I'm guessing the contents of the box determine what Group a package is labeled as. And, maybe during the shipping process, the GTG folks would just see a box, and with whatever software they were using, filter by box letter, then grab the earliest backer number left who matches that box letter, print out the label and slap it on. I could see if in going through the motions of the process such as this, no one really noticed that box letters with the art prints weren't coming up. And if the factory in China didn't tell them that U.S. packages with the art prints haven't gone out yet, they might not realize it yet, until they start to read fans' comments. I actually wonder about the 10% of U.S.-based, non-collector's case orders that didn't go out in this first wave: Were those also orders that included the art prints? Not sure if that's been discussed, but maybe all U.S. orders with the art prints have been held up?
Another reason they may not have admitted this yet: Perhaps they are afraid of all the people who would say (and, let's face it, I'd be one of them): "I don't want the art prints then; just ship my order without the art prints and let a later backer have my art prints for free." Perhaps that would be too much of a logistical nightmare, so they wanted to avoid people requesting that. Still, though, GTG has been pretty transparent about this Kickstarter project of late, so I doubt that's the reason, but I could understand the hesitance if/when they found out. But, as you said, hopefully we'll know more once GenCon is over. Wish I could be there!
Anyway, if it is indeed the art prints that are holding things up, I so hope they are on the second wave at least. I can't wait to get OblivAeon! My nephew (who I introduced to Sentinels) is moving out to my city to go to college (from California to Texas), and it'd be nice to get in at least one game before he starts to have a heavy time commitment with school.

Though still waiting, we are currently visiting a friend who received his copy and playing the crap out of it. Playing so much of the new content will hopefully tide me over until whenever the alleged art print units can ship out. Everything thus far has seemed very pleasant at the least to play, and my favourite part of new toys remains intact (dissecting the flavour text and art) for our set!

I just would have preferred that GTG accurately explained shipping order instead of the misleading "in order of backer number" statement. If the art prints were to ship later, they should have simply said so, as well as stating that they can't change shipping order based on requests to forget the art prints.

"However, as I mentioned above, in order to get all of these parcels out in as timely a fashion as possible, we have to operate in as efficient a manner as possible. This means sending out whatever is in a container in whatever order the containers arrive. We know what is *supposed* to be in each container, and the order in which each container is *supposed* to arrive, but such things are at the mercy of the factory and the shipping company, and are never guaranteed."
> 4) As we ship out these orders, we are shipping them in backer order to the extent possible. However, we sometimes wind up going out of order for various reasons. The main reason for this is that we are constrained by what is in a given container when it arrives; notably, some of the orders with art prints got skipped before Gen Con (though some went out), but most of the remaining art print orders should be able to go out after the next containers arrive.
I feel much better about having explicit confirmation.

Completely agreed, just knowing what is going on is huge for me. This seemed the most likely scenario -- the art print orders had an extra component in them and so got packed slightly out of backer order and that happened to shunt them to a new container -- but I feel much better knowing it isn't something worrisome. (Anxiety being what it is I got myself wondering, what if I just didn't get a shipping notification and someone stole the package off my porch?)
Thanks, GTG!

Normally, 2-3 containers per week is standard. Prior to Gen Con, we were able to get a bunch of people to stop doing their actual jobs and unpack containers, which let us do 4 containers in a week. Since everyone has been out of the office for over a week for Gen Con, and was packing orders for the week before that, we won't be able to do that this time around, so it'll be back to the 2-3 containers per week mark. Fortunately, that still means that we'll be able to get these five containers out before the last containers arrive.

I thought this was cleared up. The earlier containers, unintentionally, didn't have the boxes for people who got the art prints. They don't have room in their warehouse to handle containers worth of inventory, so they have to process the containers in the order they get them. The containers were meant to be ordered differently, but that's not what actually happened.

Yes, but in the latest update, they said, " but most of the remaining art print orders should be able to go out after the next containers arrive."
Yet, the next containers have arrived, and it continues to be more of the same … backers in the 4,000s, 8,000s, 9,000s getting their tracking, but those with art prints who backed early on … nothing. Is it wrong to want confirmation that art prints are indeed in this wave?

Yeah, definitely not mad at GTG. More trying to level my expectations so I don't keep getting my hopes up and having them dashed. I'm autistic, so being told by the group "Oh, we're going by backer number", to find out that I got delayed because of art prints, only after I reason it out, stinks. In the mean time, I spent two weeks agonizing over whether something went wrong? Maybe it got sent to my old address and I didn't know?
I'd rather be told, "Hey, you're not getting your stuff for another month for this reason, so please be patient" than to be told "It should be going out this week...oops, we had to make a change because of a glitch in our system, or to make sure that we got everything out before GenCon. sorry, but I PROMISE it'll be this time..." Especially with every other step being delayed and/or miscommunicated, it seriously bums me out.

I know the anxiety in this thread well. Backer 34, art prints and a collector's case, no shipping notice yet. I actually suffer from an anxiety disorder (which I am fortunately on new meds for!) and I have a game night coming up in late August that we'd hoped to have OblivAeon for, so I'm having some fear of disappointing my guests even though I know not a one of them will mind. From what Paul said, it SOUNDS like I should get a notice this week and will probably have it in time as a result.
And yes, no matter what, this is not GTG's fault -- they had a manufacturer overpromise and didn't figure that out until too late to change horses, and then logistical issue after logistical issue reared its head. Anything they could have done we are seeing with the benefit of hindsight.

I was listening to something "Dice Tower", "Secret Cabal" I can't remeber. But they were talking about Kickstarter Fulfillment and the order things ship out. At one point they mentioned shipping out by backer number is an option and then immediately dismissed it saying that is crazy and no one would do that .
It is the most fair way I can think of the ship out orders but as we can see trying to actually stick to a strict backer number order would have been a logictical nightmare since that is not the order they arrived at the warehouse.

I now have a shipping notice for a 22 lb package next Wednesday. Perfect timing for me to be back from a con and still sleeve cards in plenty of time for my board game night. You did this on purpose, GTG, didn't you? ;)

Update: I got the notification from FedEx that it was shipping on Tuesday. I got it on Wednesday, and had everything re-sleeved, reorganized, and stored in a mere 12 hours.
(Yeah, really, it took me ALL DAY. Started at 9:30, when I got it, and finished at 11:30 pm. With a 1.5 hour break for lunch/getting more sleeves and a .5 hour break for dinner)

As of 40 minutes ago, Oblivaeon was 160 miles from me. So I expect it on Saturday unless it gets handed off to the post office early tomorrow morning.

Maybe this is an uninformed question, but i'll ask it anyways. What's going on with us "SlackerBackers," who pre-ordered after the kickstarter closed? Am i somewhere at the end of this print run? am i at the beginning of the next print run? And how would i know?
Thanks

A little bit late to this thread, I know, but in reading through I see a lot of "finally got my shipping notice!" posts.
I'm KS backer number 150 and backerkit number 302. I have the art print add-ons as well as the foil villains and the collector's case... Looks like other people with similar situations have been shipping recently, so I probably shouldn't be too worried yet?

As someone who backed on bakerkit after the campaign ended I am not too worried, we are probably in the last few containers.

Got my shipping notice this week and had the exact same combination, and similar backer number (somewhere in the 4-500s). Not entirely sure how they're doing numbers, but it seems somehow related to how the shipping containers were packed.
I'd say if you haven't heard anything by the time Paul sends out the "Everything from Wave 2 has been shipped", that might be a good time to really raise concern.

Yeah, I was backer 390, so it looks like they’re VAGUELY in order, but not really.

Ugh, package is now 5 minutes from my house, but Fedex won't let me pick it up from there. Gonna have to wait 1 day for it to get to USPS and then 1 for them to deliver it.
Have I ever said I really hate Smart Post? :(

Mine was supposed to arrive on Wednesday of this week, then on Thursday. I got the notice yesterday morning it was set to deliver on Tuesday, and when I clicked through to check timing so I knew if I needed to work from home, I discovered that it was in fact scheduled to deliver yesterday, while I was home recovering from WorldCon. An hour or two later, there was a telltale thump on my front porch.
Sentinels is now fully sleeved and sorted. The case is too big for our current gaming shelves, so it lives in the garage until we can afford to hit IKEA and get a new shelf to use. OblivAeon might weigh more than the shelving unit, anyway, so it works out.
Yay!

I believe Robrob, that Paul said in in a recent kickstarter post if you emailed about your address and they DONT respond to you, then its the correct one in their system.
He certainly -did- say that they are super backed up on emails right now because its all hands on deck shipping.
For me, I got Signed copies, and still haven't got a notification from fedex yet. Sad, but I'm hopefully it will be soon.

@Robrob
Given the volume of emails we are experiencing, I suspect that Lynkfox is correct. However, if you send a follow-up email to contact@greaterthangames.com and copy me (paul@greaterthangames.com), I should be able to get you a confirmation.

US customer here, KS backer number 150 and backerkit number 302. I have the art print add-ons as well as the foil villains and the collector's case but no signed items... still nothing. No shipping notification, no box showing up on my doorstep...
Is there a way to check and make sure my shipment didn't slip through the cracks somewhere? Based on the last kickstarter update, 80% of the US shipments had gone out almost two weeks ago with the first noted item of things that hadn't shipped being "signed orders". It could just be rotten luck that I don't fit that category but I'm at the very back end of shipments, and that's ok, I just want to make sure there's nothing wrong with the order. I can send an e-mail too if that's a better way to resolve things.
Thanks!

I am in the same boat asmith5831. Even worse, I am in the signed boat >.< . However, I have been watching the Kickstarter comments and from what I can see, they are waiting on the last containers as they apparently have most of the foil villain sets, and "Due to ramp congestion in St. Louis, the delivery of the final 4 containers has slipped to Thursday or Friday" as of about 5 hours ago. So I would say that our orders are waiting on the Foil Villains, and they should be in warehouse by this week.

Oh no! Well hopefully you're right about this week, I just want that big, beautiful box on my shelf and I want to dig through all those decks. Thanks for the information!

I got my package but it seems I’m missing one card. I only have one copy of Absorb Energy.
I already contacted them by email. Is there anything else I can do?
