In the most recent Extrasode of the Letters Page Podcast, Christopher and Adam opine that Akash'Bhuta is a fight that cannot be rushed.

I say nay!

What is the fastest you forumites can come up with to defeat Akash'Bhuta? Assuming any H, any environment, Regular Akash'Bhuta, and the perfect deck ordering/shuffling you desire. (Note, Yes, I know about the Fixed Point/AZ or Mr. Fixer and Setback shenanigans could get it in one round, but how else would you do it?)

My first thought would be something along the lines of Legacy, Rook City Wraith, FV Tachyon, Chrono-Ranger, and Scholar of the Infinite at Insula Primalis. First round Akash'Bhuta plays Allies of the Earth, Legacy plays Inspiring Presence, Wraith plays lots of Impromptu Inventions and pulls an Obsidian Field from the environment, Tachyon plays lots of bursts to get ready, Chrono-Ranger gets some Bounties out, and Scholar plays lots of Don't Dismiss Anythings to further set up the heroes.

Environment plays another Obsidian Field, Akash'Bhuta plays Phlanges. Second Round Legacy Galvanizes, Wraith starts unloading, Tachyon starts unloading, Chrono-Ranger starts unloading (literally), and Scholar does some shenanigans with Forms.

Environment plays another Obsidian Field, Akash plays another Phlanges, and the Heroes proceed to mop up with a lot of +5 damage hits, espeically from FV Tachyon Blitzing.

Can't do the exact math at the moment, but I am pretty sure the environment wouldn't get a third turn. Thats pretty fast :)

I find Prime Wardens Captain Cosmic w/ Chrono Ranger (damage increase x2), Legacy (damage increase x2) + OmnitronX/Fugue State Parse or Knyfe Rogue Agent to get out more constructs can kill her pretty quick.

Same thing works for Unity, but maybe Scholar instead of Chrono Ranger to get more power usage.  That might be true for Captain Cosmic too.  An environment that lets you use powers again would amp this up even faster (the name is escaping me).

Yeah, I've beaten her pretty quickly, too.  If she gets lots of limbs out, Tempest, the Sentinels, and Sky-Scraper with Legacy and Argent Adept really rip her apart.

Unless it's on Challenge mode.  That just takes absolutely forever regardless.

Freedom Five Bunker, Scholar of the Infinite, XTREME Prime Wardens Captain Cosmic, Legacy

Turn 1:

Rogue State K.N.Y.F.E.: Play "For The Greater Good".  Draw, Play "Prototype Servo Gauntlet", Power: INFILTRATION - Play Dynamic Siphon From CC's deck on Bunker.  Power: Servo Gauntlet 2 damage to Dynamic Siphon.  Activate Dynamic Siphon (use FF Bunker power, Play: Dynamic Siphon K.N.Y.F.E)

Freedom Five Bunker:  Play Gatling Gun; Use Power Tactical Uplink: Turret Mode, Play Autonomous Blade on Captain Cosmic, use gatling gun on Dynamic Siphon on KNYFE, play Autonomous Blade on Captain Cosmic

Legacy: Play Inspiring Presence, Galvanize

Scholar of The Infinite: Play Proverbs and Axioms; all players use powers (KNYFE plays Autonomous Blade, Bunker plays Dynamic Siphon), Legacy Galvanizes, Captain Cosmic Attacks!)

+3 to attacks (Galvanize x2 + Inspiring Presence), 3x Dynamic Siphon, 3x Autonomous Blade = 6 Constructs + Captain Cosmic

7x4 = 28 damage + 4 from Scholar + 5x3 from Autonomous blade = 47 damage

XTREME Prime Warden Captain Cosmic: Play Vitality Conduit, Use Power: PLAY WITH MADNESS

+3 to attacks (Galvanize x2 + Inspiring Presence), 3x Dynamic Siphon, 3x Autonomous Blade, 1xVitality Conduit = 7 Constructs + Captain Cosmic

8x4 = 32 damage + 5x3 from Autonomous blade = 47 (94 damage total)

Environment: Use Slamara (Enclave of the Endlings) card to play top card of each deck in turn order:

KNYFE: Energy Burn for 11 damage (105 damage)

Bunker: External Combustion for 6 damage (111 damage)

Legacy: Backfist for 7 damage (118 damage)

Scholar: Proverbs and Axioms:

(Galvanize x3, Inspiring Presence) 9 constructs + Captain Cosmic = 10, 3 Autonomous Blades gives us:

10x5 = 50 damage + 6x3 = 18 damage from Autonomous Blade + 5 from Scholar = 73 damage (191 damage)

Captain Cosmic: Conservation of Energy: Destroys 3 Construct to play 3 Potent Disruption (12 damage) & Construct Cataclysm (3 damage) = 15 damage (206 damage on Turn 1)

Edit: Meant XTREME prime warden and using suggestion from Stark below for Slamara to play top card of each deck.  Don't Dismiss Anything would work if you need MORE damage...

I'm trying to figure out how Prime Warden Captain Cosmic would be helpful to a burst down deck, but you must mean XTREME.

Temple of Zhu Long, Mysterious Ceremonies does I believe.
Edit
Also Slamara (spelling?) plays the top card of every deck so you could swing that

Yeah, my bad.  I will have to refresh my memory on that card, thanks for the reminder!

Edit: Starkenburg, with the card (Slamara) that lets me play the top card, we hit 200 easy on the first round :).  Just another Proverbs from Scholar to use powers again and a piddly 18 damage more.

For non-challenge mode:

Hunted Naturalist, PW Fanatic, Chrono-Ranger, Fixer, Science Tachyon in the Celestial Tribunal.

Akash begin with an Eruption, gets some boring Phalanges.  Naturalist slaps her with 2 Eyes (1 from play, 1 from power).  Fanatic plays Focus and powers into EoD.  Start of Chrono’s turn: 4 damage.  Chrono hits her with a bounty and another 4 (8 total).  Start of Fixer’s turn: 5 damage (13 total).  Fixer plays Crane Style and uses power for another 4 damage (17).  Start of Tachy’s (22).  Fanatic has 1 card left.  Tachyon chains 2x Lightning reflexes into a Nimble Strike and 2 Supersonic Responses- 14 damage (36).  She sciences on Akash, revealing 2 more eruptions.  Between the two, all limbs are now in play, as are 2x entomb.  Fanatic’s focus triggers before EoD so another 5 damage (41).  Then, Akash hits herself for 174 (12,12,12,13,13,13,14,14,14,15,15,15) and dies so hard that Akash’thyra is put into play by the Celestial Tribunal.

Damn, you beat me to it.

I was going to use Rook City Wraith instead of Fixer, and have the battle fought in Wagner Mars Base so that Wraith could pull out Villainous Weaponry with her power and boost Akash's damages by 1 (and then blow up that card last), but basically the same setup.

I once had her hit herself for a fair bit of damage one time when we had an End of Days go off when she had By Any Means on her, and of course we decided that By Any Means should be destroyed after she'd finished hitting herself for all her limbs getting destroyed ;). Didn't kill her, though - if I remember rightly she dealt herself something like 102 damage and left herself on 42hp.
