Fanatic delves into the dungeon

Today on the Digital One Deck Dungeon Kickstarter we announced that Fanatic is making a cross-over appearance!

She's an early stretch goal so we hope that Sentinels fans can get on board and unlock her. What do you think her heroic feat and skill will be? How would she fare against a glooping ooze, plague rat, or the Minotaur? I'm looking forward to finding out =)

There's a joke here about XPW Fanatic being really good against Plague Rat, but I'm not clever enough to make it.

I feel like her heroic will be something in line with the Slayer- store a heroic die when you defeat a combat room. Her 2P skill will be Embolden, letting an ally re-roll a strength or an agility die. 

I'm excited to hit this stretch goal!

That's cool. Any chance of the Adept being another stretch goal? He's a Bard! And the Naturalist is a Druid >:).

Nightmist as Mage!

For some reason all the characters seem to be female, so I don't think AA or Naturalist will be making an appearance...

We did just go through Gender Swaptober though, and since ODD is definitely not part of the cannon primary reality, I see no reason why you couldn’t maintain the “main characters are female” trend while also adding AA or Naturalist…

I dunno... as much as I'd normally be 100% on board with any suggestion of Argent being a cameo in anything, I feel like if the ODD creators want an all-lady cast then it may be more fair to only suggest canonical lady characters.

Maybe one of the previous Virtuosos?  That's probably too obscure to make a good cameo, but I would love to see art of the Amber Accompanist, Sister Saffron, or The Jade Jinx.  (particularly the Jade Jinx.  I have a thing for bells as magical weapons, probably inspired by reading Sabriel and Redwall as a child)

Now that's an idea I could go with.

Though as a raised-Catholic person, my vote's for Sister Saffron. Magical harp-playing nun = so cool.

If you dialed back her sci-fi tech and made her some kind of spellsword, KNYFE would totally work, yeah?

Handelabra has been asked to treat One-Deck Fanatic as a Disparation variant, and specifically asked to incorporate aspects of all her existing variants into this one.  The Swaptober variants are also official Disparation canon, so if they wanted to include, say, the Naturalist, Handelabra would not just have the option of using the Swaptober version, but technically would have a mandate to do so.

Fair enough, just "We want to feature lady characters, so let's suggest... gender swaps of male characters" felt technically correct but perhaps missing the spirit a little to me (even if it would refer to characters I otherwise like quite a bit).

That makes sense.

Now we just need a disparitions version of Dawn as a dungeon boss…

Definitely need a swapped Argent Adept, then. <.<

I think Fanatic was the right choice for an initial crossover, though. She really fits the theme and setting like no one else from Sentinels. :D
