We all know that Guise will win the whole thing. I mean, he's the best hero after all.

I figure we need to look at this thing from the point of view of the fictional editors of the fiction comic story.  Would it be a more satisfying conclusion to the story to have Nightmist win it all or Baron Blade?  The Baron for sure, IMO.

I honestly wish we knew more about the publishing order of specific comics. C&A specifically cite Nightmist as one of the most popular books during her episode of the Letters Page, and also absurdly powerful. I could see her win as having a very satisfying story conclusion.

But apologies, the emphasis of my comment was supposed to be on how the rest of our picks were extrodinarily similar. I had Bugbear beating Spite and then losing to the Operative. Then the Operative lost to Mr. Fixer. That was the only other difference in our picks.  

It's only getting funnier to me that C&A said they expect to have multiple correct answers, because I don't think I've seen two people agree on how this goes down - even people picking the same final winner disagree a lot on who they fought to get there.

(fwiw, Nightmist did pretty well in my version, but ultimately Wraith took the title)

I will say, we have zero correct answers so far.

Let me clarify: we have zero submitted brackets that every space is filled out 100% correct. 

Well, there are 63 total matches, which means that there are  9,223,372,036,854,775,808 possible brackets.  Sure, some are more likely than others, but that's still pretty low odds for a correct guess.

Obviously, we should be approaching this from an "Idealist wins" perspective.

I haven't made my submission yet but I've been thinking really hard about making Lifeline win and show Jansa he's good.

I will add that we decided who should win based on a (probably way off base) story idea, then worked up to that, going back and forth, to get interesting pairings wherever possible.

The pitfall I've been running into with that idea is that there are multiple interesting stories.

Legacy vs HAka is just as potentially interesting of a story as Fanatic vs Ra to me, so how do we pick which one is true (though given those options and what we do and do not know, I don't think Ra vs Legacy or Fanatic vs Haka is a thing, those fights feel like they end up being too similiar to the previous matches.)

I'm just a fellow Guise fan, not nearly as cool or knowledgeable as Powerhound, but enjoy seeing the former Joe King do his joking
