So, I normally don't post about mechanical things and such, but I just had a match with Xtreme Fanatic for the first time.
I randomized in the Video Game and got Plague Rat, and then I added in Legacy because I got an evil idea.
First turn, Infection was played on Fanatic. Every turn thereafter, I used "Kill the Spirit" and all my infection damage (with legacy boosting and the last turn with a Explosives Wagon from Silver Gulch) was redirected to Plague Rat. It was sooooo much fun.
Also, for the first time in... I think ever? I played Chastise. I've pretty much never played that card, because taking the damage isn't generally worth it and there are very few targets I want to just delay instead of trying to destroy, but with this version? It was just a delayed damaging one shot, and also kept the locus around longer (cause why not have more +1's when trying to burn down the rat)
I really, really, like this version of Fanatic

With all that, you could easily keep Zealous Offense in play all game long, too. She becomes a one-stop shop for villain burning, environment control, and whatever else she can play each turn.

i was wondering how that version would be useful, guess i think too basic when it comes to too many "shenanigans" in this game.

Yeah, Plague Rat was one of the first villains I played with her, and it was indeed silly amounts of fun. Afflicted Frenzy? Fanatic just turns around and chews on Plague Rat. Self-damage? Hang on, lemme chew on Plague Rat some more.
Sacrosanct Martyr has gone from "never use except it's useful with PW Fanatic sometimes" to "nuke people for 5 damage don't mind if I do".
Divine Focus gets more fun too; I rarely ever want to keep it around longer anyway so now I get an extra bit of 4 damage out of it.

Add in having Writhe hit you with Blackout or Scholar playing Proverbs and Axioms

Woot, anything involving heroes doing self damage becomes a nuke for Fanatic.

O_O
Oh wow
I think the one part of her (with no outside help) that is a little disappointing is Embolden. Since, if you don't deal the damage to the hero target, it is destroyed, so you can't keep up the Kill the Spirit Shengagins and give Fanatic a second power in most circumstances.
Which is fine, but a little disappointing

I never use Embolden more than once a go anyway, so I have no problem adding a letting extra damage onto the end of it. :D

The first one I did with her was the rest of the XPW and Legacy against 5 random vengeance style villains because I thought the Holy Nova shenanigans would be fun with a lot of targets out. It was!

Just discovered that XPW Fanatic overrides Immortus (from Enclave) effects.

Which XPW did Legacy replace?
Also I'm going to have to try that.

Kill the Spirit is great, except for one minor flaw -- it lasts until the end of the next turn, so it's impossible to switch targets without skipping a use. Not a huge issue with the Prime Wardens, who throw around extra power uses like free candy, but it can be a delay in the damage train.
