Looks like some of the cards have changed since we saw them in the playtest image.
I'm curious how the Chronoist interacts with zones.
Edit: for those going to GenCon, I'll copy the info here:
It’s the 50th Gen Con, so it’s a bigger celebration than ever before, and Greater Than Games is one of the proud sponsors this year! It’s all really very exciting. If you’re at Gen Con, come check out our Booth (#1343) and our demo room as well (#134)! We’ve also got a bunch of panels and events up on the Gen Con schedule, including everything from a general State of Greater Than Games panel, to specific panels about how things work in the industry, a costume contest, and even a live recording of The Letters Page!

I'd imagine since he shows up in a "you" scenario, it's whichever zone that hero is in.
That was my very first utterance upon seeing him! We will be good friends, this single hero card and me.

I'm trying to remember (and my myth-fu is failing me) isn't there a greek or roman story about someone losing both their legs and getting replacements?
Also in the beautiful artwork section we have Amanda in civilian clothes and I just love the expression on Jim's face as he's trying to get comfortable IN A LAVA FLOW
That's cool

Heaphestus/Vulcan was lame and had a bunch of inventions. I remember a walking table.

I don't think it was Vulcan.
Maybe I'm mixing my mythology and it was something else, possibly from Rejected Princesses, because I remember some stories from that site that included women who lost their feet or legs, or maybe I'm just remembering Hermes and his sandals…
there is something, I just can't figure out what it was

Mmmm I think the special gun expatriate and skyscraper steal looks interesting but idk how often I would want to go for it unless I was controlling expatriate. Her ammo cards look like it would make it really shine and without them it's a bit underwhelming... even though 5 damage is still pretty good but idk when it comes to Oblivaeon

It's only 5 damage, but it also allows you to play or draw a card. This is still significantly stronger than many powers in the game, especially because it's the most reusuable of the rewards shown.

Forget Expatriette, I want to see Mr. Fixer attach it to his Jack Handle!
The ammo card bonus doesn’t seem all that impressive to me. The effects don’t multiply, and they’re still one use only. And since it’s a single target power, you’re probably better off playing the ammo by her other guns.
That said, a 5 damage power with a bonus and no downside is amazing. No hero has a repeatable power that deals that much to a single target.

The Infinity Cannon is the only opportunity for Expatriette to play Ammo on another player. That could be useful…

Just remember, for all the ridiculous powers being doled out via rewards, they're only ridiculous because they're going to need to be if you want to win the scenario. c.c

Shhh
We want to enjoy thinking about how bad-ass we are going to feel using all of these clearly OP abilities which will obviously not be our only gasp of hope in the sea of despair and terror that is Oblivaeon.
Nothing to worry about here, we've got a big gun and Dawn fighting for us and people from other dimensions, totally isn't a fair fight either, and I'm not worried in the slightest, are you worried?

As Trajector said, Expatriette can attach ammo to it even if it's not hers. Therefore, give it to Mr. Fixer with his Jack Handle, and then put ammo on it.

What if ... what if you decide to use mission cards in non-OblivAeon games ... just because you're power hungry?

I have a feeling you'll wreck house! :O
Makes you wonder, though... From all we've heard, Oblivaeon games are going to be lengthy, and solo and especially team villain games tend to be fairly short. I wonder if you'd have the opportunities to make some of these missions...

Using them in a storyline game as rewards would be super cool.

So how do the rewards work? Do they go into your hand when you get them? Into play? That there are one-shot rewards makes me think hand.

Well, given that "To Hope for the Dawn" says "Flip this card and put it in your hand", while F.I.L.T.E.R. Heist, Demands of the Gods, and Time and Time Again only say "Flip this card", I'm guessing that some go immediately into play and others go into your hand, and possibly others have other effects.
Interestingly, since the cards don't say anything about putting the card in front of you I can only assume that the Missions are given to specific heroes rather than being open for anyone to complete.

That's possible. If that's the case, I hope that there's a way to quickly cycle through the missions, so you don't get stuck for a while with a set that applies to heroes that aren't around.

What do you mean by "applies to heroes that aren't around"? It looks to me like every mission will be completable by any hero, and the reward will be useful to almost any hero. Sure, some will be easier and/or more beneficial for specific heroes, but most of the missions we've seen look pretty easy to achieve under most circumstances.
To Hope For the Dawn will be tricky for Mr. Fixer or The Sentinels, but even that isn't impossible since they can earn power-granting cards like The Infinity Cannon, or the Rod of Anubis.

I had a thought.
Jack Handle with the Ennead power and a boatload of targets.
With Alternating Tiger Claw.

That's... probably not going to do nearly as much as you'd like. Unless the targets are much, much tougher than any we've seen before, the first wave or two will wipe out all the minor targets, and then there won't be any left for Mr. Fixer to turn into AOE damage. Which is still a ton of damage. But not 9*X to each target where X is the number of non-hero targets. Probably more like 27 damage to each target.
A better option would probably be Dual Crowbars. Sure, they won't do as much damage overall, but you can pile the additional damage all on OblivAeon.
Assuming that OblivAeon is a damage sponge like Akash'buta rather than having some sort of damage immunity, of course.

I may have been misreading, but I thought he meant that a given card could be grabbed by a specific hero. He probably meant "player" though, looking at it again.

Oh! I see what you mean. Yeah. I mean that the mission cards would be given to specific players, not heroes.

Does it work at all though? I thought if Fixer was dealing an "all targets" type of damage jack handle and crowbars only activated once?

Yes, because each target hit is a new instance of damage that would then hit all targets. Guise can do similar currently by taking Jack Handle and using a power like Concussive Clap or Squall. A great one is using Thermal Shockwave while holding onto Jack Handle.

I always figured you'd have some number of missions flipped over at once in its own play area or possibly in each environment area. Then I figured when a mission flipped, unless it went into your hand, its effects applied to that area.

Mission cards enter Hero Play areas at the start of Hero turns (somehow), then they'd flip and stay in the play area of that hero unless otherwise specified (I guess).

Interesting. Do they follow the hero to which environment they're in? I'm curious if you can assign or trade them somehow.
