I thought based on Paul's post that possibly we might see mini expansions get sent out before the main OblivAeon content but it sounds like they still are going to try to send everything at once.  I hope Tachyon replies soon to Christopher's message.

I know we do not even have VotM in our "digital hands" but a person asked this in the comments:

I'm curious about the digital application, though. Will OblivAeon content be added before or after everyone receives their orders, seeing as how it may take several weeks to ship to everyone?

Christopher answered: That's more up to Handelabra than anyone, though I would be surprised if it happened before everyone got it. There's a LOT of programming that will go into making OblivAeon mode happen.

Edit:

An additional question was asked: Well, I was referring more to the Mini-Packs. It seems to me that Mini-pack four, with Stuntman and Benchmark, could be done and shipped before everyone receives OblivAeon.

Christopher answered: True! I want to make sure that they hit the table first, though. We'll see what happens there - I'm sure that's a thing that I'll be talking to the fine folks at Handelabra about sooner rather than later.

I still need to create Challenge Modes for Villains - the hold up there is entirely my fault. Only so much game design time in an 18 hour day.

Very glad to hear he's cut back to 18 hours...

Anyone else stoked for the SC: RPG and OblivAeon Livestreams?! I am SO ready for this!

I'm fairly certain the Handelabra folks have said they won't release any expansions that aren't out for tabletop yet.

In theory, they could have the final promo cards ready to go already, and since the mini-expansion contents are finalized, they could be working on that now before Oblivaeon is released in physical form.  But I believe they also said they wouldn't release anything described in the Oblivaeon kickstarter before Oblivaeon itself.

With the special exception of Omnitron-U

Reading this update, I had the thought that there had been previous complaints about the level of communication from Greater than Games… And I think they are doing a terrific job of it these days.

Thank you, Christopher. It’s especially exciting to see the projects develop and accelerate as they get closer to delivery. Keep up the good work, and I’m excited to play OblivAeon in August-ish!

One thing I noticed is that Christopher said they would be shipping alphabetically by first name. Does anybody know if the backers would still come before the pre-orders? I mean, I kind of hope that isn't the case since I am a Daniel and only pre-ordered; but it seems more fair to do the backers first. I guess it depends on if they can easily sort all of it out.

I read him as being much less definite than that. But I would expect backers to come first; I don't expect that to be hard to sort out.

Maybe someone can ask Christopher for specifics in his thread in the General Discussion area of the forum?

Pretty sure they don't know the details yet. From the Kickstarter comments:

Sounds like they have some planning to do, I'd give them a chance to do it.

I’ll just offer that, as a TA, I found that the best way to assign groups was totally randomly. They could ship in a random order!

To random people!

I would be totally happy paying for extra shipping to get the expansion packs first.

I lI’ve in the USA so it can not be that much more.

I can see them doing international more due to the number of group orders. Getting those huge orders done first will allow them some more wiggle room.

what I am more confused by is with the 10 shipping containers is will the product be mixed somehow or will all of oblivaeon be in a container and all of the ultimate edition boxes in another and everything else in a 3rd. That changes how they unload and ship as well, which means we have to ask what is taking up the most containers. This also changes how they ship because they may do all the ultimate box backers last to get some more room in the warehouse since my guess is these are taking up most of the container space and an assembly line can do them quicker if they just say we need x packages of this stuff and then put the team in a line and make sure each box gets those items.

Now that I am thinking about it, there is a lot of stuff on boats or about to be on boats to head to the gtg warehouse. Have they talked at all about how these various other products will affect the shipping of Oblivaeon?

My guess is most of the other projects will arrive before OblivAeon, and since the Kickstarters are smaller in size (average of about 1500 backers per project compared to OblivAeon at ~10,000), it'd behoove them to get them shipped out to open up storage space and make shipping OblivAeon the only major priority once it arrives.

Yes, all of these other projects should be through the warehouse and taken care of before OblivAeon arrives.

This is such a glorious sentence in the confines of the Sentinels universe. "Don't worry folks, you'll get your projects before the end of the world."

just hopefully an above poster was wrong about 6 months between them getting it and then getting bit out of their warehouse. They may have to hire more temp help if that happens.
