Previews of the environments! They already look exciting to me.

And the video of the collector's case makes it look promising.

Lots of 3s in that though warranted I'd say.

5 2's and 5 3's is a good mix, espeicially this late in the game.

This brings the total to 7 1's, 17 2's, a 2+3/9, and and 12 3's, which is a pretty good spread of difficulty.

I'm excited for Harpy, as I love her concept and I love complex decks.

Poor Tempest, he doesn't have the Maerynian keyword, so he doesn't benefit from the Refuge.  Unity and Captain Cosmic must hate that place, too.

The Fort Adamant preview isn't too interesting (looks a lot like The Block so far), but the test Subjects should be.  Very curious about those.

really want to know what actually happened when the heroes went to Champion Studios in the comic books.

Mordengrad looks interesting for Baron Blade, of course, and Luminary to a lesser extent, but Omnitron might benefit from it even more.  Voss would love the Blade Battalion Sergeant, too.

I literally laughed out loud at the Love Interest pic/flavor text, that was great. XD Poor Setback, though, eating all those nasty apples...

The Nexus of the Void previews just raise even more questions about the Void and Argent's relation to it than I had in my "Contemplating the Void" thread already.

Sky-Scraper doesn't gain any benefit from having the Thorathian Keyword so it's not that surprising.

Luminary probably hates that place too based on description of his deck as well as the little image I gleamed from the playtest image the other day.

Also, I wonder how much Tempest takes part in the community of the refuge. It might be something I house rule depending on lore.

Ditto Golem Unity with the 'Mechanical Golem' keyword.

I like seeing the more recent variants in art like that, it gives a sense of where in the timeline these things are happening.

All I know is you'll be able to ship anyone in-game. That's all I need.

I am also SO looking forward to Champ Studios. It will elevate the storytelling in each game to a new level!

I mean, think of all the mutli-faceted and deep stories that will be created when there's multiple conflicts in play! This might be my new most favorite environment ever. I imagine Akash'Buta thriving there too, I'm sure she'll feed on the emotional energy more than most.

And it'll be fun to make Mordengrad deal Luminary damage, letting him get hit by minions and such. I will cackle.

So the, er, shipping discussion reminds me I am always perplexed when people treat Ivana Luminary as being a kid or otherwise young in her timeline (and thus equivalent to Beacon), when the grey in her hair suggests to me she's meant to be as old as Ivan himself.

Eh. Hair is never a great indicator of age in comics. Heck, Lillian has had mostly white hair since she was a teenager. And Ivana looks younger.

She is also referred to as the "young Ivana..." in the Kickstarter update that introduced her.

You're forgetting Paul and Ivan or Felicia and Ivana.

The blade battalion sergeant seems really mean with the Matriarch, Gloomy and maybe Voss.

The Voss one might be interesting. I'm curious what else in that environment works on minions. It could be painful.

I asked in the comments section of the update and the Sergeant is the only one with the ability to make other targets minions in that deck.

There are other things in Mordengrad that reference the Minion keyword. It is painful.

Who's forgetting those?  That's what I said earlier.  I did neglect Paul and Ivana, and Ivan and Felicia, but those aren't cute combinations at all IMHO.

OOOH.

WHat if you do Expat and Bunker, while having Setback and Wraith in the same game!?!? DRAAAAMAAAA

Considering Setback's personality, I don't think it would be anywhere near as entertaining as if it were HE and Bunker.

I was real excited to see the complexities of the new heroes. A good handful are 3 complexities which is awesome. I think I'm looking forward to Stuntman the most, but Akash will also be interesting to play. They've done an awesome job keeping mechanics unique amongst the heroes. So cool!

It was also said in a comment I think, that scions will have a difficulty chart too. Intriguing.
