So i've been doing analytical research into each of the sentinels heroes in order to try and create some in-depth guides for them, and upon examining bunker I find myself giving a very serious look at the termination variant. Now keep in mind I'm not a big bunker player but I at least understand how he functions and how his other base cards have their own strengths and weaknesses. After playing a game or two and really looking at termination bunker, I don't really understand why he would be played. With two HP less then the base bunker and a power that seems only to let you switch out two of your equipment cards with each other or situationally switch modes I don't understand how he's more useful or unique than his other variants.
I guess I want to ask what makes this card at unique and usable? Why would I want to use them over even the base bunker for already has a reputation for having one of the least optimal face powers in the game? I want to create the best guides I can and I need to understand every variant of each character to do so so any advice or help on this variant you guys can offer would be appreciated.

Short version: because it says 'in any order'

It allows Bunker to cycle through his deck without forgoing his power phase, the caveat being you have to destroy a card. Consider this example:
Base Bunker
Play a card, use base power. Net result is 1 card in play, 2 cards drawn.
Termination Bunker
Play a card, use base power, play another card and use new power. Net result is 1 card in play, 2 cards drawn, and whatever the power was.
As you can see, Termination Bunker can accomplish more on his turns without sacrificing card draw, however his power has 3 caveats.
1. You end up with 1 less card in hand than Base Bunker
2. You have to be able to play a card with a power on it to fully utilize his base power.
3. You have to be wiling to sacrifice a card, but in my opinion Bunker has plenty of options for this.
He's not as good as hoarding cards for Gatling Gun and Omnicannon, but he is good at finding the cards you're looking for while still contributing to the fight.

Yeah, if it were any other character, you’d probably do them in order as written, but Bunker might want to draw or use a power before entering a mode that prevents him from doing so.
Even without that, it’s not too bad–it’s zero-sum at worst, strategically quite valuable at best.

Gah, forgot you can't edit. Caveat #2 is only true if you don't already have an additional power in play.

TermiNation Bunker can move through his deck to find damage dealing powers at the same speed as base Bunker. However, relative to base Bunker he effectively trades 1 card in hand for an extra power use.
Additionally, by letting you play, power, or draw in any order it allows Bunker to get the around the drawbacks of Mode cards.

I've only played him a few times but it's the preferred version of Bunker I like playing. At least to me it felt like he flowed better. He gets around drawbacks of Modes and Bunker isn't short on cards which he can cycle through with the power.

Thank you guys for the answers! I like thinking of using it to cycle through your deck quicker. I'm still not sure I believe it's the best bunker ( I feel like that honor might go to freedom five Bunker) but it does make me reconsider him and want to take him into another game with that thinking in mind.

I definitely consider F5 to be the best Bunker, but Termi-Nation is a close second. Nothing like trading a handful of crap for an entire extra turn!

I hate F5 Bunker, he's not refreshing at all.

This is not the last straw, it is an earlier straw that is out of place.

I don't like playing that one; it always feels like a real close out.

Also no one mentioned yet the strategy of killing TermiNation Bunker for his incapacitated insta-kill power for certain villains.

I don't normally plan on using incaps. His power is good with Guise who can use I Can Do That Too! to use it while in the middle of Selling Out to get an extra play out or possibly another Selling Out in play to go through another set of cards.

Our lawyers say no matter how funny it would be, we can't encourage players to eat the cards. Hear that? Whatever you do, don't eat the delicious cards.
