Not counting the upcoming OblivAeon, about how many sleeves does it take for the current game with everything ever? I’ve been wanting to do it for a while now, and figure with the foil heroes arriving it was time.
Heroes are one card each variant. There are (currently) 180* hero variants [including their standard versions].
Villains are two cards each variant or one oversized card. There are (currently) 61 villain cards and 31 oversized cards, the weird math being Operative's fault.
Hero decks are 40 cards. There are (currently) 26 heroes.
Vengeance decks are 20 cards and one oversized card. There are 15 vengeance villains with 15 oversized cards.
Villain decks are 25 cards. There are (currently) 24 standard villains.
Environment decks are 15 cards. There are (currently) 22 environments.
This is, at the moment, 2,511 standard cards and 46 oversized cards.
*This includes all variants in existence, which is complicated by the foil set, because it includes heroes there are no decks for yet.
This includes the Sentinels being 4 for each variant, and Sky-Scraper being 3 for each variant.
And while this does include foil reprints of previous cards, THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE non-foil versions of promos we haven’t seen yet. (e.g. the Freedom Five promos, Setting Sun Ra, et cetera.)
Ultimately, after we get OblivAeon and thus the non-foil versions of new cards, there will be 220 hero cards total, including the decks we haven’t seen yet.
There will be effectively three new villain decks with one currently unsleevable villain card and a deck of oversized villain cards (vengeance style). I’ll wait to do the math for that but I can make guesses (75 deck cards, maybe 15 oversized?) on OblivAeon’s stuff until playtesting is done.
We have 2 new environment decks coming, for another 30 cards.
We have 11 new hero decks coming, for 440 deck cards more to come.
So all in total, that’s another 585 or so standard cards, plus another 15 or so oversized cards. So you’re looking at ~3,100.00 standard cards, and ~61 oversized cards.
Thank you. It’s been a long time since I got a decent amount of sleep, and didn’t trust myself to do the math, especially without having the cards in front of me to help keep track. Sleeves have been ordered.
They were talking about it in this thread here. So if you need to ask, that's a good place. They include OblivAeon, but it looks like theres a comment that has the cards for each expansion, so it's just a bit of addition
What do you guys recommend for the oversized villains? I only sleeve the foils, but I have the villain foil pack coming to me with Oblivaeon.
