Moved this to the foil hero discussion thread to not spoil F5 Tachyon

Hmmm. Thats a good call. Nobody ever plays against Spite while playtesting...

Well, infinite combos as a rule of thumb are not allowed. Treat it as Blitz only being a singular use of the power that repeats its effect if the conditional phrase is met. That will sure-up this interaction and keep the power working as intended.

Nice catch. I'm sure this will be errata'ed in the video game.

Edit: Nvm its already fixed in the video game!

It works like this because reactions to using powers don't react until the power finishes.  The repeating the power is part of the power's effect.

Similarly to one-shots that play more cards staying in play until the chain is finished.  Spite has to wait until the power chain is done before Tachyon is counted as having used a power.  Because until she chooses to not put a burst card from her trash under her deck the first use o Blitz is still going on.

When she finishes resolving it, does Spite only hit her once, or does he hit her once for each use of Blitz?

Should be for each instance of the power used.  Which means if you used it a lot it better have been a finishing blow.

Blitz:

If you do, use this power again now.

PL626

Whenever a hero uses a power,

So if you used Blitz, then moved a Burst from your trash to the bottom of your deck to use it again, and used it a total of 13 times, each power use would resolve last to first, and Spite would deal you 2 damage, then discard the top 5 cards of your deck 13 times.

Similarly, if you use Prejudice and then Pride against Spite as Expatriette, he should wait until Pride is finished and then hit you for 2 and discard cards twice.

I assume (but could be wrong) that this also means that if Fanatic put embolden on Tachyon and Tachyon used Burst, putting 1 burst card under to repeat the power (repeating any number of times) she will have used at least 2 powers and be done.  But if she uses esearch Grant first then she could use Blitz as many times as her stock of trashed burst cards allows still.  Just like Expat and Unload.
