Luminary/ Scholar Connection?

Sorry if someone else pointed this out already, but I noticed that Luminary's arm and Scholar's arm (in Flesh to Iron) look really similar, possible connection?

He has a similar gauntlet there in Tactics so I feel it's an early version of his power gauntlet. 

And Alt Luminary also has a power gauntlet, although she appears to be right-handed.

Promo Luminary is definitely a gauntlet, but Blade Luminary's hand looks VERY similar to Scholar's. And we know Luminary helped Sky-Scraper enhance her ability to alter her size, and Alchemy is all about changing and transmuting stuff...I don't know, there seems to be a connection to me.

I sincerely doubt there is a connection between Luminary/Baron Blade and the Scholar. That is most likely one of his inventions he's wearing on his left hand.

He invented something to help Sky-Scraper, he didn't use alchemy. Context is important, and contextually, Luminary uses inventions while the Scholar uses alchemy. There's no connection.

Also, is father was working on a shrink-ray…

I'm not saying Luminary used Alchemy, I'm suggesting there is some connection between him and whatever The Scholar used to make his stone. I could of course be dead wrong, but their arms look too similar to be a coincidence.

I think its an early proto type of the gauntlet he has in Tactics.

The Scholar used an Oblivaeon shard to make his philosopher's stone. He's turning his flesh literally to metal in that card, hence "Flesh to Iron." That is, as a matter of transmutation. The other Oblivaeon shards we know about augmented others' powers in different ways - the Sentinels for example didn't get transmutation powers similar to the Scholar's from their Oblivaeon shards. 

Baron Blade is wearing an invention on his arm. He did not turn his arm into metal, nor is he transmuting anything. A connection seems unlikely, and just saying they look similar isn't really enough to establish that connection. Contextually, Luminary invents things. Scholar transmutes things. They are different.

They used Oblivion shards, not OblivAeon shards.  They are spelled Oblivion every time referenced.

Given how tightly it fits his arm ar we sure it is a glove and not maybe a metal arm.  Kind of like Luke's?

Well if it's a cybernetic hand that'd be cool.

And I could totally see Blade being the kind of guy who would cut off his own hand to replace with a cybernetic one that controls all his stuff.

He's more machine now than man.
