After reading thousands of names for that video?

Depends on how many OPT-Out But reading 4000 names would be about an hour long.

Christopher shouldn't get hoarse, if he drinks plenty of water and warms up first. Many people speak continuously for a lot longer than an hour with no problems at all.

Oh yeah, I don't think he'll really get hoarse. This thread felt more clever when I posted it, though. :)

With all this extra money they're getting I'm pretty sure Christopher could buy a horse if he wanted to, little or otherwise.

Were I mischievous, I would be, right now, trying to convince people with very long and difficult names to join the KS at the 1$ level. For the fun.

This said, it's already at least two hours of name listing. Probably four at least by the end. Poor Christopher.

So if it takes 2 secounds a name thats 30 in a minute.

30 X 60 minutes is 1800 an hour (900 Every half hour)

900 X 5 = 4500 (Or 2 hours and 30 Minutes) Right now there are 4537 Names

So I Just had an Idea if we hit the Million.

I think they should have a "overlay" Like they do in the Tactics turnments with all the names Christopher is saying at the bottom of the video.

So then Paul would have to click as fast as Christopher is saying them,

And Adam could be makeing "IIIII" Marks Counting along.

That way We get all 3 in the video. :)

See, I was all for that, but then I remembered that Christopher is that beardy guy we all kinda like. And then I was conflicted and thought, nah, let's not do that.

Plus that video is already going to be 3 hours long, or something, and if we cheese him off he might do something unpleasant- like de-alphabetising all the names so everybody has to watch if from the beginning to the end to hear their name being mentioned…

I can't speak for Silverleaf, but ice does NOT go in whiskey in any shape. Or whisky, if that's your thing.

SI

Agreed!

Putting ice in any form in whiskey is a big NO. You don't want it to be cold, because the molecules move more slowly therefore you lose some of the taste. And what's the point paying a fortune for Scotch if you're not going to taste it properly? Same as red wine, basically.

It's fine to add a little room-temperature water though.

Similarly beer and ale shouldn't be chilled.

Havent quite decided how I feel about ice in cider yet though…

Amusingly, I have a friend from California whose brother used to have ice in his whiskey. After a short trip to London, there was never ice in his whiskey again.

But I feel I should add that it is my preference not to have ice in whiskey and (I believe) it is also tradition in the country it's made in. For both whiskey and whisky. I can't speak for American made 'whiskies' though :P (I think they're bourbons?)

Anything that mitigates the taste of alcohol is okay in my book.

Of course I don't drink alcohol so I won't be icing up any whiskey anytime soon.

I had a thought - don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere but will those of us who are part of group buys not get our names read out just because we didn't back the Kickstarter directly? Would we have to make a minimum pledge in order to get into the list of names to be read out, or are those making the group buys saying who they're buying for to get everyone's names in that way? Because although us group-buyers aren't pledging directly into the Kickstarter, we've still technically backed the game, just through someone else in order to cut down the shipping costs ;).

So we're in the final eight hours and there are 9,635 backers.

This doesn't count group buys so it is certainly higher but still we're talking about close to 10k backer names for Christopher to read.
