Updated HP Trackers

I've updated Jagarciao's HP trackers again, this time adding VotM and the newest promos. I'm about ready to wrap them up in a high-res flattenned pdf to upload to Spiff, but would you guys mind checking over what I have real quickly first to make sure I didn't make any bonehead errors?

Who/What are the white circle ones for?

Where's the rest of the Villains? I only see the V5, the VotM guys, and the Chairman/Operative. 

(There look waaaaay better than my originals, btw... I'm printing yours)

Those are just blanks in my template. I'll cover them up before pushing the final version.

I just use the generic V/+50/+100 tokens for all the normal villains. The only time those aren't sufficient is when there are multiple villain character cards on the board (namely, when playing Vengeance-format, The Organization, and The Ennead). If there's interest in having individual tokens for each villain I'll do it for you, but I dunno if it's really worth it to have yet another huge stack of tokens.

Thanks. I've actually been updating them regularly for a couple years now. Pretty sure the version currenty on Spiff's site is one of mine. I also have an edited version of the tracker mat with a couple of additions to make things easier. I'll push it out at the same time I finalize this set of tokens.

Oh, and I also have tokens for the Cauldron for those of you that play. As soon as TosX gets us images of the new heroes I'll have it ready to go. Just PM me if you want them.

How do you use these? Just curious what your method is with them, though they look great.

Neat!  I could certainly see the use of this, especially as the table is getting crowded with V-Style character cards.  I'll have to try it out.

As for the new tokens, since you included the Promo Parse from Adams art stream you may also want to include the image of Omnitron-U from https://greaterthangames.com/omnitronu

The token faces are glued to wooden discs and I use them on a tracker sheet to more easily see the relative HP of the various heroes and villains:

It can be as simple as just cutting them out of paper and using them as-is, but this is how I do mine after each new expansion, step-by-step:

1. Print actual size on high-quality photo paper (8.5"x11" in the format provided).
2. Laminate on image side only.
3. Use 3/4" punch to remove individual tokens from sheet (I'm sure you can do it with scissors just fine, but it would require extra work that I'm too lazy for).
4. Color 3/4' wooden discs black (I use permanent marker because I like the finish, but paint would work just as well). 
5. Glue token faces to discs with gloss Mod Podge, allow to dry.
6. Write character names and starting HP values on back of token with metallic sharpie. I also color-code the edges - black (unaltered) are regular heroes, silver for alt/promo/fan-made, gold for villains, and bronze for the generic villain tokens that are used most frequently. It's hard to see in the pictures, but easy to distinguish when they're all stacked together.
7. Seal remaining surfaces with Mod Podge to keep the ink from fading.

Just out off curiosity... Could you make a "back," so to speak? Like, type out the starting HPs of all of the characters so the backsides look a little more professional than my... less-than-professional handwriting? (Seriously... my chicken-scratch is bad... lol). 

ANd, as an idea, I think when I do this, I'm going to try and color-code the discs I glue the images onto (blue for heroes, red for villains, and then have some generic extra blue, red, and green discs), that way it might be easier to scan th mat for the HERO with the highest HP, or the NON-ENVIRONMENT target with the lowest HP, etc. Have you noticed a necessity for this in your playthroughs?

The one thing I would do differently is border the villain tokens another color (like red) so it's obvious which are hero and which are villain.

And, to TheCraftyCurler's point, I'd make the backs, also, as my handwriting is probably comparable.

I'm only set up to monitor character targets on the tracker sheet. All the minions just get tracked with HP tokens. Therefore there is generally only one villain token on the playmat at a time, and when there are more (Ennead/Vengeance/Organization) it's not difficult to separate them based on portraits.

The reason for the wide black border is so you don't have to be exactly perfect when cutting them out and to help it blend with the colored disc behind it. Rabit's suggestion is a good one and I can make make some with red villain borders if you guys want them, but I'm kinda picky about aesthetics and would personally be frustrated by the portrait border not matching the color of the disc below it (they're never exactly the same size). I have the edges of the discs color-coded to make them easier to sort when taking out/putting away and that has always been sufficient for me.

Laminated photo paper, yes. I fixed one up on chipboard, which was nice, but too much of a PITA to store/transport so I reverted to a thinner one. I gave Spiff versions with the numbers counting both up and down - just print the one you like best. The number 29 has a glow around it to help remind me to stop trying to heal A0 and Scholar above their starting HP .

And before you ask, no, I won't be setting them up mirrored for two-sided printing. That wouldn't work without a commercial-grade printer anyway.
 

the only one that threw me for a loop was seeing Ra: Hoth. given some of the other abbreviations, I could totally see "Beard Ra" as being a workable shorthand.

Ninjedit: And maybe do something to distinguish the two version of Plague Rat, La Cap, Ambuscade, and Miss Info?

These are really cool, and I may make a set for myself after I see what the "ultimate storage solution" is going to look like.

Huh, usually I see Absolute Zero abbreviated "AZ", but A0 makes sense, too.

Yeah, I do AZ myself, but I was able to figure that one out.

Horus Ra maybe? Was trying to stay somewhat close to the official names while still fitting in the space requirements.

There's only one version of each of those though. The only character with two tokens is The Operative/Zhu Long's Operative.

Easy enough to change it to AZ instead of A0. Since my originals were handwritten and I write my zeroes with a slash it never occured to me to do it differently. (My group calls him "A-naught" when speaking.)

Horus Ra (or Ra: Horus) would work.

Huh. That’s odd, because I’m 98% sure that the files in the .ZIP at the top of this page are identical (even the metadata) to the ones I shared with you after I updated them for the Vengeance release. 

[Edit: I partially take that back. hp_tracker_mat_asc.pdf looks like it's still jagarciao's original, while hp_tracker_mat_desc.pdf is the one I rebuilt to fit my tastes. The filesize alone is enough to convince me it's one of my bloated monstrosities, lol.]

Oh, I must be getting mixed up with the update tracerbullet23 did for the vertical dividers.  Sorry, I guess I'm losing track of who's updated what.
