Who Else would want clear laser cut tokens?

So... I play a lot of Android:Netrunner (An LCG By Fantasy Flight Games, if you don't know). I use these for keeping track of my money in that game.

How awesome would similar tokens be for Sentinels?  Damage modifer tokens, with big clear laser cut letters on them, see through so you still get the art on the card or whatever. Damage reduction tokens, with shields stylized on them.  And so many more useful things.

I have no ability to design, create, or make such things... But maybe... GtG could look into it? Or maaaaybe.... theyd be ok with fan based ones??? xD

Those are super sweet.  I don't even play Netrunner and I still kind of want them.

Wonder if there's any way to get individual laser cut hexes you can use to build 3D terrain for Tactics.  They'd have to click together somehow to form buildings or whatever, but then you could build whatever terrain you wanted and could remove layers if stuff got blown up.  That'd be sweet.

i would bet there would be spiff! I know you can get custom laser cutting done now in small job lots - a short websearch away would find a company that would do it, but I don't know on pricing.  But that would be awesome, 3d acrylic terrain for tactics would be on a second point for my list!

I still want to see clothespins based off of the damage counters and the damage dealt +1 plaques. I know they have pins for the hero symbols, but I want to see ones for the tokens.

My father-in-law has a laser cutter he uses to engrave or cut wood inlays. He says they can cut just about anything: wood, glass, leather, plastic… You just design what you want in an image. He even helped me engrave one of my maps on a sheet of wood, and it came out pretty well!

So, yeah, it’s certainly POSSIBLE to do exactly what you all suggest!

I just want something to use as Lucky tokens that aren't HP tokens.

@Spiff You could use HeroScape terrain.

I believe that Litko are the prime suppliers of this sort of thing - they are based in Indiana I think so not a huge distance from >G either. They have a pretty big catalogue of stuff already and can certainly do short runs of unique tokens, so if there was enough interest you could do a custom job with them.

How big are those credits?  Because $.87 a token is no small amount of money.

i have lazer cut a lot of things now, desighn is not my strong sute however..

hp tokens that take a lot of room, im no fan of. currently i am using dice for all the HP
 

i would not mind special tokens for stuf i usaly forget, like:!!!! tokens, so i should watch that card, or keep that card in minde.

One of the players I regularly play with has a habit of fiddling with things in front of him. Dice are really bad that way…

I rather have something other than plastic. I have those for Netrunner and they are almost impossible to pick up. :(

i have no issue with picking them up, but that might be because i use a playmat as well - and as my wife tells me, im horrible about cutting my nails ... o.o

I was certainly not thinking of big rectangle/square HP trackers - that would be crazy! But those would be great for +1 damage or what not.

The only issue with plastic/acrylic is that they are really hard to be 2 sided - you can do so, but you have to have a really good design to make them look good and not cluttered on the opposite side.

I have direct f2f access to this guy and his whole workshop. If we can come to a consensus on what we want I'll put together a design and obtain prototypes and quotes for the group. If enough people are in I'm sure I could get them for somewhat below typical retail since I would likely do most of the design work myself, but we'd still need to pay him for his machine time and materials, of course.

Those are the tokens I use most often in game, I don't worry so much about the 'All damage is Fire' or what not - that's usually heavily on everyone's mind or not at all.

Something like the original size (maybe sized closer to the broken egg ones? ie, as wide as a card) and color acrylics? I'm not sure there.

I know I got both the original -1 damage taken tokens, and an extra token pack. I still do not have enough. So be careful with the number of tokens

I love those Netrunner tokens; I see them across the table from me all the time.  I personally use the Team Covenant tokens for Netrunner, which are another sexy option.  One thing I can't stand is when my Netrunner opponent uses a D20 or other dice for counters... so hard to read from across the table and very easy for them to "accidentally" turn the die to the wrong result...

I think acrylic tokens for SotM could get expensive really fast, considering some games (depending on the set up) have an outrageous number of targets and baddies with large health pools.  I could see them as a nice Add On option or an accessory in GtG's webstore though for those who don't mind paying extra to add some flashiness to their game.

Ouch.  Anyone who has to cheat to win isn't really winning.  They're admitting they can't win by playing by the rules.

Considering I'm about 2/3 done with laminating all of the cards from 1 of my 2 sets of SotM (at a rate of around 7 cents per card), Sentinels and expensive have already been used in the same sentence in my household. I think it's a cool idea and I'd love to hear a price quote.

People do strange things when they get competitive and tournaments can bring out the worst in them. I mostly prefer coop games for this reason. But Netrunner is just a fantastic game and the community is overall full of helpful, kind players. Every now and again though you run into folks that are clearly on the warpath to win.

I wouldn’t want to replace all the tokens with acrylic, but 10-15 damage modifier tokens of each type is doable for me, plus a smattering of other effects. I mean I did pay for 50+ of those broken egg ones I linked above for Netrunner.
