So this is where us non code cracker can get excited out the current events.

So Lillian/Pinon/Harpy is not confirmed but implied. GTG said no reformed villains will use any current nemesis icons. The wording is very loop-hole filled. So until stated she is not going to be in the last expansion I will Fan Girl Squee all over the place. Bring me more magic users!

Who else is poised to become an Odd Ally. (Dark watch 7 says Allies)

Omnitron was destroyed, When? And it was in Omni 4? I wonder what Omni-U new base power will be. Also all my feels to Unity, I shed a tear at  http://greaterthangames.com/omnitronu

Which heroes are missing from the Progeny battle? Omni gets rebuilt after the Progeny Mega event, so when was he destroyed? And Naturalist, or was did he fight in Algeria? I am assuming Guise was with the Scholar or their friendship starts after this. Ra is also missing. Sky Scraper was not mentioned, where is she (and her Promo)?

I love this game's Lore. Chris you are a beautiful mad man. I can't wait to see what you right in the RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade). I see you guys are pulling out all the stops for your last go at it. Adam your art is so beautiful now; I would but a redrawing of the base heroes.

Last note. Has anyone cobbled this entire game event into a nice readable form?

I like seeing the looks into their lives -- like, Tyler and Maia seem to be awful chummy. I wonder if something's going on there.

Also digging heavy metal Argent Adept.

It hadn't occurred to me that Unity would get so attached to Omnitron-X. He did install an empathy component -- I wonder what other emotions he might have. Golem Unity/Omni-U OTP? Or would that be weird, since Omni-U is Unity's creation?

Tempest is a fan of Katy Perry -- does that mean Tempest kissed a girl and he liked it?

Harpy is very exciting.  While Harpy she was still heavily avian based, so I'm hoping she's all about using birds to fight like her Matriarch persona.

There has been a lot of speculation that her mask was connected to the final Boss, or at least a really important artifact, and now she gets it back and can't remove it and fights against it trying to control her?

Sounds like it might be connected to the final boss after all.

I cannot wait to get more.

Sadly I'm rubbish at these types of puzzles, as almost every thing I think of is a dead end and my "help" always ends up leading people off the right path.

People were always confused by my puzzles anyway, so I guess I just think differently.

I thought the scene with Ryan talking about hanging out with Gene listening to records and no one remembers his name half the time was really cool. (almost read like Writhe was dead, but he's in present tense referring to him)

Okay, I'll put my nerdgasm here!

The "Star Trek" fan in me has always had an affinity for the non-human characters, and that affinity began right away in the base game. Tempest has always had a special place in my heart, and Omnitron-X was very quickly soon to follow. They are, easily, my favorite characters/hero decks to play. Like, my fondness for how they're written is trong enough to the point that if a live-action series of this comic ever came to fruitition, I would do everything in my power to audition for the character. So you can only imagine how that snippet of him being a Katy Perry fan made my gay heart just sing (no pun intended). I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing what, if any, his promo for an alternate version of him as a Prime Warden might be (same for Omnitron-U).

On an unrelated note, I'm totally okay with every single comic featuring Tyler in only a tank top shirt. Dem guns, yo! lol, Just sayin'! (And I totally ship him with Wraith, too.)

As for Absolute Zero... not knowing all too much about the character, I REALLY liked his monologue and the scene between him and Tachyon. For someone confined to certain spaces for the rest of his life, it's great (and in a weird way, sad) to see that how I pictured him being mostly introspective and alone with his thoughts is more accurate than not. Also, mad props for Tachyon's speech about how far they've all come. GtG is doing an amazing job getting to the heart of their characters with the writing, and I'm loving every character-building minute of it.

However, indepedent of all this, I must say that the few times my friends and I played the game against Progeny, he didn't seem to be THAT big of a challenge. At least, not enough to warrant this epic of a villain storyline. Is that just me? Honestly.

I strongy belive we are going to have a Crisis on Multipale Earths. Saddly our heros bearly had enough ompf to deal with Progeny. And with the Time lines weakening anything form anywhere can happen. Maybe we will hear from Con again. I beat Old La Capitan is going to bring help, since she seems to be Time Paradox Imune. I love how GTG embrace all these Comic book troupes, they are nerds like us.Oh boy, I saw a Crisis Multipale Earths comming But would never guess it be so glorious. I want more Nightmist(and the others, Kimest) from  ¿Qunado? ¡Ahora!

Can someone pin point when Hour of Reckoning happened. Nightmist and Dark Visionary seems to be working with Progany. I wonder how Dark Visionary will become regualr Visonary we see in Tactics?

!980 prime warden are awesome, I wish to see everyone with a 1980 makeover.  Rude and loud AA Could not stop laughing. I also want super powers so I become instantly ripped.

It it me or are Tyler and Maia Flirting here. That face Tyler has. . .

I kind of thought looking at Augustus that possibly he was the beginning of Con based in what was combined to find that image.  The page number was a combination of HP from Omnitron, Unity, Ambuscase, and Haka who all are thought to have ties to Con.

Ambuscade has possible ties to Con? And I was just thinking that because Unity rebuilt Onmitron-X, Omni would "repair" Unity when she "breaks", creating Con, as wasn't it said that Con is "Parlty Unity" somewhere on this forum a long time ago?

My other item from the thread that got buried but had me excited was this:

A thought occurs to me that since Omnitron-U appears that possibly other covers will involve Sky-Scraper and Parse.   Those two like Omnitron-X don't have any promos yet.   Parse is connected to the Cosmic Entity since she got her powers the same Cosmic Omnitron came to be and Sky-Scraper is one of the few heroes not from Earth.

Nor is Tempest a 'she'. Tempest is Tempest is Tempest. Granted, instead of referring to Tempest as 'it' (which feels almost rude) or working sentences to craft 'they' around Tempest, nor using 'Tempest' whenever referring to Tempest, however unfortunate, English when gender neutral defaults to 'he'. I fear Tempest may suffer this injustice his/her/it's/Tempest's entire life. L'sigh!

Singular they is totally a thing that works, but people think of it as sounding awkward because it’s not commonly used.
I’m quite in favour of “it” personally and would use it for everyone if it wasn’t for that people don’t seem to like it so much… Babies and little children are always “its” though.

For what it's worth, you care right now more than Tempest does.

EDIT: Realized that was a bit curt. Point being, gender is not something his species has, it's not a concept that's familiar at all to them. Most people on earth definitely call Tempest "him" because of the way "he" looks, and it doesn't really bother "him" because since there's no barometer, he doesn't have a preference. You can call Tempest him, you can call him her, you can call her ze or blee or skiddlydoo, Tempest doesn't really put energy into that, and as long as it's clear who's being addressed, he's not bothered by it.

....Just don't call Tempest late for dinner. I couldn't resist.

Promo Legacy now has the ability to destroy a card with a matching keyword to the discarded one is pretty cool. Off the top of my head its one of the only ways to destroy Scoin cards outside of Progeny himself, Fanatic with End of Days, and Agent with his destroy an instrument and any other card Harmony. I'm sure there are other annoying cards that this will help destroy.

So we got our first real death! RA!

Nightmist may be in mist form or not yet, that was unclear so she is not "dead" yet. I just hope that Ra and Fanatic did something with their relationship. Giggdy giggdy. So sad to see her cry.

The Ennead and Anumis makes for some Odd Allies. I wonder who is next.

When did termiation Squad get a costume change, after Omni-U is fixed. Was it a start of a new season?

This takes place 1 year after the Progeny event, Publish wise, and the same time nightmist opes the portal. I have to get my card and read every single flavor text now. WOOT more time wasted on SOTM!

I am glad to see Adam get in on this.

Some thoughts:

We know Mr. Fixer was really dead.

Ra's death has been suspected since he appeared in Tactics sounding differently. The real death is Dr. Blake Washington III.

Also the Ennead are dead too at least the hosts. Not sure about Anubis.

I always thought Ra and Fanatic didn't like each other.

Edit: I'm also glad to learn Tempest does not care about how he is referred to, if anything he probably had a hard time understanding the emphasis we put on gender. (like making sure to use the proper pronoun)

"It" is generally used for objects so it's generally considered dehumanizing.

People use "they" a lot more than they realize. It doesn't sound nearly as awkward as people think. Hell, Shakespeare and Chaucer use singular they with no trouble whatsoever.

I was so busy refreshing the Tim Cosing page I forgot to check any other threads! Having said that...

Considering I'm one of the first ones who commented about Tempest, I can't help but feel the gender pronoun comment might have been directed at me. It was by no means my intent to insult the creators of the character with what I condered to be a neutral "in the classic sense" use of the pronoun, "he/him." I'm very much up to speed on Tempest, and - given my strong ties to the LGBT community (of which, as I stated, I also am a part of) - would never intentionally use an improper pronoun to describe someone in any derogatory sense, whether they be a real person or fictional character. If, in my excitement, my intent was not clear or seemed innappropriate, I do sincerely apologize to anyone that might have been offended.

Tempest may not care, but there's a whole host of issues in defaulting to masculine pronouns, not the least of which is the male-equivalent-of-whitewashing one of the very few nonbinary characters out there, which is why I think some people are quick to "correct" use of "he" even if it wouldn't technically be considered incorrect by the fictional subject in question.

Anyway, what I'm really excited to find out is if actual physical versions of America's Cleverest Legacy are going to be available at some point? My wallet is ready.

True. I just wrote a paper and did a conference presentation about the singular "they". It has actually been in English for longer than the genric "he". Also, a lot of studies show that pretty much every English speaker used the singular they in speech. It's making a strong comeback, especially in the transgender community, so I don't know why it wouldn't be the best option here.

Still speculation, but:

Matriarch/Harpy Hero Deck

Baron Blade Hero Deck

All of the new Hero Decks will most likely have Oblivaeon's Scions as their nemeses.

I bet Oblivaeon will have no nemesis icon, since if it had any, it'd be EVERY ONE!  at which point you'd ALWAYS have to +1 your damage to him, and his damage to you... It would be unwieldly in regards to game design.  So I'm thinking he'll have Scions coming out that have their own nemeses.

I bet one of the Scions will be Tempest's nemesis, for... reasons...

If I remember correctly regarding the Prime Wardens, only Haka is not accounted for in Tactics. Fanatic is on Flame Spike from Ra's cards. Argent Adept is on Artillery mode from Bunker's deck (it could be a new Virtuouso, but IIRC Chris revealed during the design of Akash Darsha that the current Adept would be the only one to fight her multiple times (usually it takes her too long to reform.) Tempest is on Regression Burst form Baron Blade's deck. Captain Cosmic is quoted on Rocket Jummp from Om-V's deck. In all of these cases, their are clues in the card art that these fights take place post multiverse timeline (new Ra, Akash having Oblivion shards, Unity's new costume, Omnitron-V.)

It's possible that Haka dies, but I think it's unlikely that they killed the Wolverine/Hulk character who supposedly could have survived the death of all civilization and everybody else (final wasteland timeline, he's the last person standing in that one) Might just be wishful thinking on my part, but everyone else is accounted for from that team.

We know that we're getting "Harpy", aka, Matriarch. We are also all but certain to be getting Baron Blade.

There's some speculation about the Ennead as well, since they are seen fighting along Ra.

In the Q&A, Christopher said we'd recognize all the heros "if we were paying attention" or something along those lines, so none of them are 100% new.

There is so much everything right now. I leave the site for a few weeks (real life been slamming me a bit) come back due to the Oblivaeon e-mail and find a whole ARG puzzle solved while I was gone. Just... what the heck...

I think I need to head over to the comics world page, but here's an interesting thought based off scions being people who we've seen before.

Oblivaeon has the Aeon men, who look like robots, and he found his scions and offered them "collars". Then there is the idea of him destroying and then potentially reforming everything. What if this is all about control? What if the idea of "divine dominance" is at play here, the idea of a god like being who needs absolute control and authority over all things.

The heroes and the villains of the muliverse are getting too powerful though, threatening not the being directly, but it's idea of its own control. They can defy it and that is unacceptable and they must die. That makes Ra's blow even more insulting. They not only defy it, but actually injured it!

And we have villains that play into that trope.

Voss used his sciece to genetically engineer soldiers he controlled. Dawn brings people back from the dead to continue to serve her, they can't die without her permission. Chokepoint controls and manipulates the world around her. The Matriarch controls birds andif the Tactics info is remebered correctly the minds of others, and the Mask according to one of the new stories, is trying to control the Matriarch. Kismet controls fate and luck, to an extent. Kaagra has the Bloodsworn Gladiators who serve her, bound to the Colusseum.

Of course, my recent literary course might be coloring my observations abit.

This is so cool.
