Now, this may or may not probably doesn't work.  But if it does, it is hilarious, so I really hope that it does.

The basic premise is this.  Cards with "On destruction" triggers stick around until that trigger is complete.  Actually, they also stick around until reaction triggers triggered by their trigger complete as well.  (I tested this with Explosives Wagon, Ra, Flesh of the Sun God, and Flame Barrier).  Therefore, it is reasonable to infer that Sustained Influence will not leave play until after any triggers caused by returning the construct to play have been resolved.  And if it's still in play, then if those reaction triggers caused the construct to be destroyed again (this is the shakiest part of my logic) then you could trigger Sustained Influence again to bring the newly redestroyed contruct back a second time.

If we assume that that works, then we have the makings of an infinite combo.

So imagine that S'sdari the Bloody is in play, with two Twist the Ethers attached.  Now play a construct (it doesn't really matter which one).  Now have S'sdari deal 4 damage to the construct, destroying it, bring it back with Sustained Influence, deal it 4 more damage, destroy it, bring it back, etc.  You have an infinite loop!

Admittedly, it's not a very useful loop.  More than that, it's worse than useless, because it gains you nothing, and it gives the Bloodswarm lots of favor.

So that's pointless.

But wait!  Remove one of the Twist the Ethers, and add in a Surprise Shopping Trip!  Now S'sdari doesn't get the credit for killing the construct, and Surprise Shopping Trip deals melee damage to all targets!  Throw in Stealth Bot to keep the heroes damage free, and you have an infinite combo for dealing damage to the villains!  Well, not quite infinite, seeing as it only lasts until the Shopping Trip kills S'sdari.  But maybe S'sdari earned Stonejaw, and therefore can survive the lethal shopping as well.

Now the combo is infinite!  It's still less helpful than we would like, though, because it doesn't earn us any favor.  It kills the field (except for Stonejawed S'sdari and Impassible Andolin, who comes with his own DR, if he's present) and brings out all the titles, but doesn't really bring us closer to winning.  But!  If the construct that we threw into this loop is a Dynamic Syphon or a Vitality Conduit, than the construct's ability will trigger when S'sdari deals it the 3 damage.  So you can heal every hero back up to full health and use every power that the heroes have (although considering that three of the heroes are CC, Visionary, and Unity that doesn't leave much space for cool power usage), while wiping out the rest of the field and maybe gaining some titles.

And that, my friends, is my ultra-finicky-probably-doesn't-work-anyways-but-still-cool-infinite-combo-of-the-day!

It doesn't work.

You may destroy this card to put that card back in play.

The card is destroyed to trigger the effect.

Cards that trigger on destruction cannot be destroyed again before they leave play.

Contrast with Adepts "Use a power then destroy this card" which sticks around and can be used multiple times before it is destrpoyed.

Once Sustained Influence is destroyed to bring the card back, it cannot be triggered again until it enters play as a new card.
