I would strongly encourage the Greater than Games team to consider this. Both are perfect games and should be shown and shine on Tabletop and deserve the honor of being on this show. Plus both fit in the qualifications for season four according to Wil Wheaton's blog:
2) optimally four players - for SoTM this is perfect, for Tactics this is perfect if they do a secnario, which is probably the best part of this game
3) no Simutaneous play - check and check
4) balance of strategy and luck - I would say both games have this. SoTM with forming the right team and getting the right cards, both hero and villian wise. Tactics has this with the dice rolling and knowning what powers to have down when.
5) Game must look good and produced with quality materials. - SoTM check, tactics has this but they will probably need to be played with figures since it is a tv show
6) 90 minute game - Never had a 90 minute game of sentinels if I dont play any of the more difficult ones. Sometimes tactics can draw out but not by much. also needs to be cut down to 30-45 minutes. should be doable.
7) season 4 is more family gaming - Lots of familes on here play both from what I can tell.
All it takes it looks like is an email and then possibly later down the road sending 2 copies of the game to them. But getting that Wil Wheaton bump that a lot of other games has produced a lot of sales so it is worth it.
Also based off a tweet it looks like he likes the deck building game too so that could be a good option as well. oh well just do all 3 :)

YES - This just made my day. Now only if usps or fedex or UPS shows up with my tactics maps then today would be awesome.

He's aware of Sentinels, and in fact, quite enjoys it.
He has a comment on the subject here: http://wilwheaton.net/2014/10/tabletop-season-three-game-list-part-one/comment-page-1/#comments
"Where Sentinels comes to life, for me, is with the flavor text on the cards. We just can’t capture that on the show in a way that doesn’t disrupt gameplay. There are also a crapload of token that are constantly moving around, and it’s too much to keep track of. It is a really fun game, though."
He also goes into the reasoning why Sentinels wouldn't work here: https://youtu.be/4mew07aSPOQ?t=5m54s
How in the world does SoTM not work for tabletop when they played Legendary: Marvel deck building game on it? Yes they may be of 2 different genres but everything is done with cards so not seeing the difference at the moment. If they do the same thing as with legndary then I dont see the problem.

Tactics would be a lot more playable on the show, also. Not a bad notion to focus on that one-- the scenarios would make for wonderful game.

the main thing I will agree with you there from looking at a marketing stand point as well, SoTM is almost over so the only advantage of getting people to play it at this point is just getting them to buy all the stuff. Tactics on the other hand is only picking up speed with the first set of stuff out and the second coming so it would be a great way for it to pick up speed.

We'll just have to wait and see. They're both in the running for consideration, at least. It's been a couple weeks since I heard anything.

One big difference: Marvel is a long-established, extremely well-known and popular universe. Anyone watching them play that already has a frame of reference for the characters, who they are and what they can do.
If someone pulls out the Hulk card, you can already kind of guess what it's going to do, i.e., smash.
If someone pulls out Haka's deck, you'd have to stop and explain who he is, what he can do and at least some of his backstory. And again for each new card you're going to play.

I find Legendary: Marvel does not really map that well between characters and what they do.

I don't know if you've ever played it, but did you know that SotM is fiddly?
That alone would be a big enough stumbling block to stop it getting on "TV".
Can't disagree with that*, but it's smooth and easy gameplay, no double checking of every card inplay to see what it does, just the cards you are currently playing or the one that you about to buy/attack.
*Legendary Encounters (Alien) does a far better job of working the theme into the gameplay, it's a huge step up on the Marvel game.

agreed. Some of them feel like why does this hero do this.
but anyways I disagree Mwc about having to stop and explain who each character is. Look at King of Tokyo one for example or mice and Mystics. They did stop and do a cut away on who each character is and the strategy people were using to play. So this can be done same way here. I will agree though there could be a lot of interaction that has to be kept track of but that is part of the fun

I've seen several LPs of Sentinels the card game - didn't have much trouble following what was going on and that's basically how I learned to play the game. I mean I watched them before I even owned the game.

the only time my group has an issue is when we have multiple effects on the field where A cant do this but B has this and then C has +2 and D has -1. and then some effect everything and others effect just one. Even with the tokens this can become a challenge, especially if each person is not paying attention to their character.

Or you run out of tokens. There's some games where all the +1 Damages get used up right quick.

Both can be an issue but you can select heroes, villain, and environment in such a way as to minimize the likelihood of this happening.

yup had to buy a couple token packs. They could probably release a +1 token pack only and it sell pretty good
