Normally games against Ambuscade aren't so bad. But this one for some reason gave me trouble, and took me 3 tries to win. The 3rd game took many rounds to win.
- Ambuscade (Advanced)
- Bunker
- The Argent Adept
- Absolute Zero
- Tomb of Anubis
I may have been unlucky, but each game Ambuscade came right out of the gate with lots of damage and the environment didn't help matters much. Each of the three heroes needs some time to get set up, so by the time they do it can be too late.
I managed to win the 3rd game once I finally got a good combo going with The Argent Adept. Absolute Zero was down and providing an extra power fun time, so two activations of Counterpoint Bulwark could keep Adept and Bunker safe. Adept got up to full health and got Bunker into a safe place, then we slowly charged up the Omnicannon for the final blast. I'm not sure how many rounds it went… maybe 30 or so.
Give it a try and let me know if I just suck at this game or what

You're just terrible MigrantP
This match was a long slog since about every other round it seemed that he flipped. With the Adept's powers I was able to mitigate a lot of the damage from the environment Luckily I never ran into his Reactive Plating.

You couldn't win partially because Ambuscade was cheating!

This was a long battle. Amby staying hidden meant Argent Adept went down fast, then Reactive Plating came out. The last half of the game went like this: Absolute Zero had Impale, Cold Snap, Isothermic Transducer, Null-Point Calibration Unit, Focused Aperatures, Cryo Chamber, and Coolant Blast, and Argent Agent was increasing cold damage by 1. This meant his was able to heal quite a bit each turn to stay alive, while doing some some damage. Bunker had Heavy Plating, Onni-Cannon, and Recharge Mode, the 2 damage reduction protected him from most things, while Omni-Cannon was building up. The game would have ended much sooner, except that the stupid Scarabs stayed out for several turns so Bunker wasn't gaining any cards. Eventually, Amby was at 37, and Bunker had 16 cards under Omni-Cannon. Bunker hit for 30, and Absolute Zero finished him off. Long game.

I have achieved victory, after about 50 minutes of playing the match. Bunker was the one to deliver the final blow, as seen here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=497471168
Sadly I forgot to heal Argent Adept to full HP, but I just wanted the match to end! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=497471252
Bunker spent most of his time with Heavy Plating, Recharge Mode, Gatling Gun, Ammo Drop, and Omni-Cannon in play. Argent Adept Cycled thorugh Harp, Lyra, and Xu's bell to either heal 4 or heal 2 and give Bunker a card draw and giving himself and Bunker an DR1. Absolute Zero would allow Argent Adept to repeat that.

Had to take a break mid way and almost had AA die, but I got it.

Everyone got down pretty low before I was able to do adequit DR/heals all around, but thankfully we all managed to hang on(Thank god I've leard the technique to have Argent spam-heal). Thankfully this combo of villain and environment aren't known for their equipment or ongoing destruction. Of course, that's something MigrantP might have had in mind when he challenged us. ;P

Yeah, one thing I found really interesting about the match was that it's fairly tough even without any equipment/ongoing destruction. Ambuscade's devices can do terrible things to a team that can't get enough damage output happening fast enough, especially at -1 damage to villain targets.

Sorry Phantom5613 but you need to try again on advanced.
When it was available playing Adhesive Foam Grenade was played. Urshe coming out was rough especially with Mdjai already out. At one point, I had seven environment cards in play. My saving piece in this was that Argent Adept was able to heal himself and then also got Counterpoint Bulwark out which allowed me to mitigate a lot of the incoming damage. Once the baord was mostly cleared I was able to use Syncopated Assault to finally put a beating on Ambuscade.

Sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you over a 30-card charged Omni-Cannon aimed at Ambuscade.
And I didn't even need a break this time.

Got it on the first try, though it was touch and go for a bit.
Bunker set up fairly quickly and ended up in Turret Mode with Flak Cannon, Self-Maintenance Unit, Omni-Cannon, and Ammo Drop. He got one good Omni-cannon hit and was otherwise pretty much starved for cards, dropping 4 point hits here and there but mostly using Flak Cannon and Self-Maintenance Unit.
AA got out an early Supertonic, very helpful, but spent a lot of time clearing the environment with Serenade of Destruction. He never got out the damage boosters or DR cards, so it was just tedious whittling away.
AZ was mostly doing donuts, taking forever to get out his basic modules. He had Apertures out early, and then twin Impales, but that mostly allowed himself to either bounce against an immune flipped Ambuscade or kill himself against the reactive plating.
Ambuscade got out most of his toys, but never for very long. I never saw the explosive launcher, which would have mostly been game over. But he did have both Platings out at the same time, which was pretty hard on AZ with the Impalements.
The environment came out strong, with an early Judgment. I left a Spike trap on the table while setting up, as it was doing most consistent damage than anything else. Finally had to get rid of it.
A fairly long game, but not too hard. Definitely a strange team without much synergy.

I managed it first time, but it did take me just over two hours...
Plan was to survive until Omnicannon shows up to do its thing. But it didn't turn up until after the environment deck reshuffled. AA got everything out but really stuck with Drakes's Pipes to play Sarabane of Destruction and/or Rhapsody of Vigor depending on how much I needed to control the environment. AZ got setup realitively quickly and snipped away at the devices but it took a while to break through both platings (which came out very early).
When I eventually got ready to kick Ambuscade's backside he somehow drew Run and Gun on three consecutive turns and pulled out his personal cloaking device on each occasion. Who shuffles the cards on the iPad again? Once Omni-cannon started to get loaded it was a matter of when not if.
