My friend and I recently decided to play a silly little game with sentinels. We wanted to play a team of almost entirely heroes that require a lot of setup. This game lasted four and a half hours.
To start our endeavor, we picked Unity, Captain Cosmic, Scholar and Argent Adept in that order. We picked to fight La Capitan in Freedom Tower. On our first turn, almost nothing had been done. La Capitan had her turn and then it was our chance to shine. Except, we were more like a dull bulb. Captain Cosmic was able to get two constructs out(using his power for the second), however they were both defensive constructs. On Unity's turn she had absolutely no Golems in her hand and nothing to search her deck for them, so her turn was skipped to draw two cards: Modular Workbench and Volatile Parts. Then came scholar's turn. Scholar was able to play Flesh to Iron and then ended his turn(Having taken no damage). Argent played one instrument and ended his turn.
La Capitan played one crew and dealt damage to the lowest HP hero Target, goodbye construct. Cosmic's turn: play two more defensive constructs. This was a really bad hand. Unity's turn, still no golems. Even her draw was unlucky, she drew a scrapmetal and robot reclamation. Scholar's turn was just about as uneventful, drawing two cards. We didn't want to set up Scholar until he had cards to discard for his forms. Argent played a single melody and ended his turn(Nobody needed healing).
This was basically the entire game for three hours, Cosmic played more constructs, they died on the villain turn. Freedom tower gave us all the rooms and the entrypoints went over the rooms that hurt us the most. We barely got hurt, but La Capitan remained at full health the entire time. We almost gave up four times(and we probably should have).
After the third hour, we finally started picking up, Unity started getting bots out and they lasted for more than a turn thanks to redirecting damage. Scholar had started pumping out forms like there was no tomorrow and we could finally deal damage. After which, we did a steady 20 damage per turn to at least one target(Unity had almost every bot on the field, missing one raptorbot that La Capitan stole). From there we pretty much decimated her, even if it took some time(Thanks to her crew being in the way). We decided afterwards that we didn't want to play against La Capitan for a very long time.
