Just how much space does Vengeance mode take up?

I barely have room on my dining room table for five heroes + villain + environment. I'm tempted to try 3v3 Vengeance for the sake of giving it a go but I am not sure the space is really there for it.

I've also heard that it's harder than the more normal mode of play

Roughly double the space for each character as if you're playing standard. One player would get a hero and a Vengeance villain. And you'd still need room for an Environment.

Right, plus the large villain cards for each villain.

I need a bigger table.

Can't help you there.

I know. It is truly a tragedy.

I might be able to pull off 3v3. 4v4 and 5v5 seem like they'd be rough, though.

Just did 3v3 tonight and used about 3/4 of our table but we know how to condense. I've done 4v4 on my table but haven't had the people for a 5v5 yet.

also my table is small and round, about 4' diameter.

That's good to hear, so I can probably pull it off on mine, which is I think a bit wider. I need to get better at condensing, though.

Yeah we have characters pretty much side by side. Lol. True close quarters fighting.

I also need to do something about my counter-clockwise habit.

I tend to play Venegance games on the floor because of the space needed.  I line up villains and heroes alternately below each other with the enviroment at the bottom.

This helps me keep track of whos turn is next and makes for logical play.

Also, I play solo a lot so if you play in a group this might not be the best way to do things.

I've only played solo so far.

I play all of my games on a small coffee table the characters are lined up where the villains are on the other side but in between the heros who are in the front. The environment just gets the leftside.

You can also try using some card stand, that might save you some room.

You can also use the image on the villain cards as space for their ongoings or monks after all they only flip when uncapped wich also means they have no cards in play at that point.

I suggest playing online! There's plenty of room in our spreadsheet. ;)

All my villains are uncapped. I don't allow them to wear hats at the table.

Your word “villains” is also uncapped.

Well, it wasn't like I was referring to a specific group of them that would require capitalization, either.

I totally plan to do this, I've just not been able to manage it yet. I joined the google plus group for it as well.
