Lego

seeing the new lego dimensions video game today made me think, how awesome it would be to have sentinels of the multiverse legos. Just think building a freedom 5 and baron blade battle out of legos in his mobile defense platform, or even the freedom tower would be great fun.

Or maybe we should start making our own sets....... Maybe even have a Lego Sentinels of the Multiverse sets we could build and take pictures of for Greater Than Games fun stuff people do with our board game collection

Shouldnt be to hard to start building the lego enviorments but the minifigure part will be hard for the different characters.

I agree! And we aren’t the only ones, either. 

Not sure if this still works, but you used to be able to use it to make instruction manuals and get a brick count, so you knew what pieces to order and how many: http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/

I believe it still does. I know I needed a prop for a tabletop RPG and decided to build it in Lego bricks, and this let me create and order exactly what I needed. My mind was blown…

I seem to remember I also did Expatriette, Fanatic, Ra, Omintron X, Apostate and Citizens Dawn, Hammer, and Anvil and probably Miss Information. Whatever did I do with them?

If I was to do these over, I would proably print decals for the torsos. It's what most Lego customisers do, and it makes for a much neater finish. Plus I would Rit Dye some of the pieces that I needed in a different colour, because man, painting these was awful! 

http://www.firestartoys.com/ is another pretty decent resource for blank pieces or pieces more similar to what you might be going for.

Yep. I used that service to make model satellites for my desk at work. They make great references!

It used to be that the LDD was connected right up to a "buy" button, and you could just order whatever you designed and have it shipped right to you. That feature was discontinued, but you can use LDD to make the design and parts list, and then go to the Lego store Pick-a-Brick area to order all the parts. The downside is that Pick-a-Brick has a much smaller selection of pieces than the LDD allows you to use. So if you are serious about putting something today that you can buy, you need to have both LDD and the Pick-a-Brick page open, and be careful to cross-reference the two.  For my most recent model, I did exactly that.
