http://sotm.wikidot.com/heroes:the-naturalist <---- wiki page for referance
So what I wanted to know is with the naturalists new promo he can activate multiple animal symbol texts at once. His promo says that you can choose 1 animal symbol text to activate till the end of your next turn. Then you may play or draw a card. So what I want to know is this: Say that I have the form card for gazelle on my field and I use the promo cards ability to use crocoile add effects. Do I get to use both gazelle and croc effects on a cards like "bestial shift", "natural form's power", and "primal charge" ? Or do I just choose one of the symbol texts ?
Since both animal symbols say that I may use them I would assume that I can use both effects But I wanted to get a general opinion or find out if someone know any official ruelings. If you have any questions or need something cleared up please let me know. Thank you for your time.

My understanding is that yes, you do get to activate both icon effects in that case.
Keep in mind however that there is still the potential for that power to change between now and when it's printed and shipped.

I figured its still tenative but I wanted to clear it up since the naturalist of one of my favorite heros and I want to get his promo. If it works the way I think then Ill be very happy because that will add a whole new slew of fun tricks with him. When does the new set and all its ad on' ship btw ?

Did you get in on the preorder? If not the only way to get the promos (for the time being) will be to go to future conventions after they are printed.
If you did, there is not a definitive date when they will be shipped. I'd expect the VotM stuff to be shipped late fall possibly (that is just a guess based on nothing but intuition. I have no official or insider knowledge to help that guess)
The Naturalist is a favorite of mine as well, and the promo that was posted catches a slightly different feel from its original while maintaining its own strengths and weaknesses. It's a cool power for sure

Though to be technically true
reg naturalist can do that too
all he needs is fixed point
setting time out of joint
and he can easily become a zoo
The best part of this power to me
(this new power that we now see)
is the strength of the flavor
and how it shapes his behavior
how he can't pick just one shape to be

I did pre-order sadly, I bought everything for the game for me and my collage friends when it was happeing so I was tapped out at the time. Game club was totally worth it though lol. I saw the stuff for it after pre-order ended and I liked this waves promos, they all looked good. I like naturalits because it seems like a good risk / reward if you can keep a form card and his promo power up, a double edge sword if you will. Ill most likely try to pick up his promo off amazon or ebay if the price is right, or ask one of my friends to look out for it next time hes at a convention.
Looking forward to villians shipping soon so I can pick it up and play with all the new stuff. Seems like a lot of good fights coming out.

If promo Nat was a gazelle, could he drop bestial shift, choose croc, & use the other part of bestial shift?
Also, vice versa.

Villains is part of the Vengeance format which is different from the "1 villain vs team of heros" type of game thats the norm. Not sure if you knew that nor not. It's 1 villain deck per 1 hero deck (min. 3 hero decks).
All the promos are great. If you can't get them, I'm sure you'll be able to get images of them to print out for yourself and play. There are quite a few promo cards that I still have printed out since I do not own original cards of.

If you use the "use a Power part" of the Gazelle Icon to declare Croc, then you could then use the Croc icon on Beastial shift before you moved the One-shot to the trash and went on to your normal power phase.

Yea I was reading up yesterday and found out the new expansion fallowed the vengeance format. Im excited for that because vengeance was a lot of fun. The fights are long and fun, I tanked most of the damage as naturalist when me and my friends played and it was a blast. Hopefully I can find a way to get the actual promos though, I wanna own them since they are pretty cool. One of my friends getting the nightmist promo to donate to my collection so that will be prety cool.

I would love to get the originals too but they are too expensive I'm hopeing the reprints don't have different artwork neither cause I'm sort do a completionist and don't want to have to fork out over $100 per promo since I cannot get to conventions and was only able to get ss tachyon and the villains promos.

Being able to use multiple symbols at once seems to be the entire point behind his new promo- but it'll also make getting out a permanent form a bit harder since you can't use his innate power to search it.
I think the new version will actually be more useful than his old version, as being able to activate two or even all three effects of a one-shot (by activating Hunted Naturalist two turns in a row with a form card already in play) would basically double or triple the usefulness of such cards.

With Naturalist's promo, if you have a form card in play you can activate a second form with your power. That activated form lasts until the end of your next turn, so your next turn you can choose the third form and play Primal Charge using all 3 abilities.
Bestial Shift is actually not as good with the promo most of the time, because you really want 2-3 powers in play, and that isn't as easy to pull off with this Naturalist.
Promo is fun, but you lose a lot not being able to pull a damage taken -1 or +1 damage dealt from your deck or trash.

When they print the unlimited promo pack at the end of SotM, they will most likely all have different artwork (or another sort of makring) as a way to distinguish themselves from the originals. There will be differences though.
I will never have all of the original promos either. But you kinda have to just accept it as a collectible aspect of the game.

The promo can be pretty crazy though. Had a game vs Matriarch with my family where my wife played promo Naturalist and I as Capt Cosmic Augmented Allied her round two so she could use Desperate Prey at the beginning of her turn, which became sick really fast once she got Natural Form's Power out. I would say it is less consistent but has a higher ceiling than the base power, which for me is pretty perfect for a promo.
