Two teams of players (or 1 vs 1)
Winner of coin toss decides if they will choose a villain first or heroes first.
First team to choose a villain does so, specifying whether or not the match is on Advanced (probably always yes). The second team then decides if they want to choose the number of heroes or which environment will be used. The first team chooses the other. The second team then chooses heroes to use and attempts to defeat the chosen villain in the chosen environment.
If the second team loses, they lose the match. If they win, then the process repeats, but the second team now chooses the villain. Villains, environments, and heroes can not be repeated.
If enough games are played that villains, environments, or heroes run out, then the match is a draw.
What do you think?

Each game should have the same deck orderings too =)

That assumes that the two teams will be facing the same villain. I actually envisioned that they would not. I think that will lead to lots of really interesting choices about which villain to choose, which heroes to choose, etc.

Ah I see, I thought that each team would play the same game and see who could win (or win the quickest).
To make it interesting, have each team choose the heroes for the other ;)

Competitive? For every point of damage your hero takes, take a drink. For every point of damage your hero inflicts, take a drink.

Maybe, but if one team is picking both the villain and the heroes, what is the other team actually doing?
Imagine, though, that your opponent has chosen a villain for you to face and you can choose any heroes. You take an awesome team. Great! But what happens later when you get to the fourth round and you've gone through your 12 favorite heroes. Then what? There would be a lot of having to decide how many rounds you think you can make it.
Likewise, you could assign Iron Legacy right off the bat, but if you do that, your opponent may pick the strongest set of heroes to face him. Maybe you'd like to wait a few rounds before assigning Iron Legacy?
