I'm not sure how many people remember >G saying that Guise has been in the artwork for a long time, but has anyone found him in any of the decks now that we know what he looks like?

I do know retcon is grappling hook, and they could possibly have been tongue in cheek, but i'm curios and I haven't been able to find anything personally

He's a megalopolis tabloid photographer before Wager Master comes.

I'd go with Impending Casualty, or Hostage situation, or the camera man from Paparazzi on the scene.

I thought they said Guise had never been seen before?

I hate to do this but that was my recollection too, I agree with Ronway.

So he's the cameraman from Paparazzi on the scene.

They said Guise never appeared before, they didn't say the person who became Guise never appeared.

And the cameraman is off scene.

I think we have him.

They also never said he had appeared.

Nor did they say his cat had not appeared, where is the cat?

So we have 2 Guise-related findings.  Any more?

Have those actually been confirmed or are we just assuming here?

Lots of assumptions, but I forgot he was in megalopolis as a tabloid photographer. That gives me an idea.

My question stems from this, copied from the Wiki:

On the Official Forums, Christopher mentioned that Guise has been seen in art for a very very long time. It has spawned the meme of indicating that new characters in the artwork are really Guise. It has also grown to indicating certain people (Such as Ronway) is actually Guise and so on.

So I'm not crazy and they did not say (unless this was retconned at a later point) that Guise had never appeared before.

Since his bio states he was a low level freelance photographer I doubt he's the cameraman, but he could easily be the guy in hostage situation, who I just realized is the same guy on Fantic's Final Dive.

We know art, text, and card effect don't always sync up, at least not how we might think, and final dive always seemed odd. Why would fanatic be attacking this random civilian? Because she wasn't attacking him. Why is it projectile damage instead of melee (which makes more sense for a full body smash of someone being thrown at someone else)?

Looking at Hostage we have Wraith, AMbuscade, and the guy in the coat. Final Dive is Fanatic, furisously going up, and the same guy without a coat. Picture the scene, AMbuscade (who we know used to be a famous french actor) is looking to cause problems. A Freelance photographer recognizes him, gets into trouble for snapping a pic, and ends up as the perfect bait to draw the heroes into Ambuscade's game. Wraith can't act while the hostage is in danger, but cheap guy, cheap coat. He falls, luckily Fanatic is nearby and rescues the hostage. Meanwhile, without his shield Ambuscade is now a target, hitting the hight hp villain with the Wraith's projectiles while "destroying" a target that was causing a problem by removing it from the field of battle. All while taking the "Final Dive" of falling of a roof to the streets.

All of course, intution and guesswork.

We are joking.

Although the cameraman could be (likely isn't) Guise.

At Gathering of Heroes 2014 I asked Christopher directly, "Has Guise appeared in Sentinels so far?" and he said "nope!"

I have no idea where this idea of him having been in it for a long time came from.

That doesn't rule out whether or not his alter ego has appeared in Sentinels before. Christopher simply confirmed GUISE hasn't.

I don't know where it came from either.  The closest thing I've found to an answer is this thread, which seems partially to be having the same conversation we're having in this thread.

Actually, the exact conversation was this:

Well... this is getting confusing. Christopher usually doesn't give conflicting information like this.

And sorry for not catching the joke. I was tired and my internet sarcasm skills are severly limited.

I’ve got it! Since Guise is a photographer, and he likes breaking the fourth wall, maybe he’s the one taking the pictures that are on each of the cards!

I think the idea came from Guise being one of the first heroes they came up with, so he's been around since the beginning, just not in any art.

Adam is Guise?

It would actually make more sense for Paul to be Guise, since Christopher and Adam are already Anvil and Hammer, respectively.
