Got a quick question about ruling from a solo play I'm trying
So I have Cosmic Crest, Dynamic Syphon, and Sustained Influence out on the field. I understand the ruling that I can only use a power of a card once a turn, so in this scenario I have already used Dyanamic Syphon's ability to trigger Cosmic Crest to heal other constructs from an environment's AoE damage. A second AoE environment damage would destroy Cosmic Crest, and I can use Sustained Influence to "put it back in play." In this case, can I use Dynamic Syphon to trigger Cosmic Crest again?
My main reason for thinking you can is along the line that the rule allows you to play two of the same power IF you have multiple copies of a card. In this case, the Cosmic Crest was destroyed and came back "as a new copy," per se since it entered your trash, and should therefore NOT be the same copy that was already in play. Is that correct, or is the Cosmic Crest still not usable in this instance?

I'm inclined to say that it would work the way you describe, but I'm inclined to say that because that's the way it works in Magic: the Gathering. I'm not sure if we have any precedent for this in Sentinels.

Yeah, I think it can. I know for a fact that if you have multiple copies of the same power out you can use both of them, so having the power leave and re-enter play should be legal.

I would say no, because it is the same card. I don't think leaving play resets that.
If you were PW Cosmic and use your base power to play the other copy when the first was destroyed it would work, because it wasn't the same card.
Of course with my record that probably means the way you did it is right.

When a target goes to the trash and comes back, it is considered a new target.
I would say the game loses track of which card is which when they go to the trash. Say you had two copies in play, used the power on one, and then they both got destroyed for some reason. Are you now expected to remember the order they were destroyed so you can bring back the one that hasn’t been used yet this turn?
Like Pydro said, I think it’s a new target entirely.

Agreed that you could use it. The key is that Sustained Influence triggers on the actual destruction and not on "if it would be destroyed, destroy Sustained Influence instead" Since it actually hits the trash and then comes right back, it's a new target

Can we get a citation for this? Like I said before, I can’t recall it ever mattering before.

It starts over with new health and counts as a target entering play. That's the argument for it.
I don't think that makes it a new card for the sake of using a power, but I don't have anything official for that either.

Had Ronway test this (Thanks Ronway!) in the app: End of Days destoyed a minion that was out before hitting Forced Deployment. After Forced Deployment was hit, the minion came back, and was hit again by End of Days.

That wouldn't prove anything with regards to whether it is treated as a different card.
End of Days has been ruled to continue destroying cards until there are no cards able to be destroyed by it.
If the card is a valid target for destruction it will be destroyed, even if it is destroyed multiple times. Like Kismet, Even with Lady Luck out, End of Days will destroy all of her destroyable cards, even if you prevent the destruction by revealing a non-lucky card, it doesn't stop the process, and end of days will keep trying until it clears the game of valid targets.

Once Unity comes out we can test it with a "deal damage to all targets" trigger: Kill a minion, kill Bee Bot -> kill Forced Deployment -> bring back minion, see if it gets hit again.
Because damage to all targets only hits every target once, even if it's redirected or prevented.
(Humorously, I was about to ask if End of Days could form an infinite loop with Relic Spirit and Runes of Malediction, until I remembered that it wouldn't, becuase EoD doesn't blow up relics)

I still don't think that solves whether or not it is the same card.
Kaargra Warfang is always the same card, but she is a brand new target any number of times throughout the game.

Unity is in the Mega Computer, so later tonight when I am on my PC instead of Laptop, I can test it out. SO it sounds like I need Voss, Ruins of Atlantis, and Unity to achieve this.

We already know it's the same card. When it comes back into play it is a new target. After all, when the Cursed Acolyte is destroyed and enters play as a zombie, it is still Ronway.

Well that is the qualifier on powers, can't use the power on the same card multiple times in one turn.

And tell me how you can use the power on a card, have the card removed from play, and then have it back in play on the same power phase to try it?

Use Cosmic Weapon on itself, have Sustained Influence bring it back into play, Embolden to use it again.

Bringing back this thread, since I was thinking about this again and Ronway never reported his results.
Can we try the scenario with mass damage killing a minion, and then Bee Bot+Forced Deployment bringing the minion back to see if it gets hit?

We know it will from Haka and Apostate’s infinite combo.

Relic Spirit and Runes of Malediction, if you get Haka's damage high enough to where he can kill both of them with a Rampage, they will bring eachother out indefinitely. Really it works with anyone who can hit non-hero targets for at least 9 damage.

Oxygen Leak with enough cards in the trash deals damage to all targets (I don't think Rampage has enough damage to do it), Relic Spirit is in play and gets destroyed, it brings back the Ruins of Malediction, which then gets destroyed and brings back the Relic Spirit, which then get destoyed and brings back the Ruins of Malediction, repeat ad infinitum.
Or is there another?
EDIT: Damnit Ronway!

So I just attempted to get setup, but never could get into the right position, as I never did get a Mystical Defenses nor a Hallway Collapse at the correct time. However what I did achieve was Ruins of Atlantis playing Pillars of Hercules on its first turn and left it out the entire game. Now that was fun, all the cards I played and powers that were used! I'll tell you what, trying to keep that minion army down was pretty tough.
