In celebration of my favorite board/card game, I have a new video series that introduces players to the Sentinels of the Multiverse characters.

Who is it for?

  • Folks who are new to the Sentinels of the Multiverse

  • Die hard SotM fans that want to correct the various minute mistakes a YouTuber/fellow fan makes

  • Anyone who is interested in learning more about the multitude of Sentinels characters.

What are you doing still reading this, go take a look!  :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh yeah, here's the links...

I enjoyed it, though correct me if I'm wrong but if you're going to look at the Prime Wardens aren't you going to be missing one of them.  I seem to recall somewhere Captain Cosmic is part of the group.

I do have one small comment: If these are meant to be an introduction to somoene who doesn't have the game, maybe take out some of the technical words. The only one I can think of in the video was the mentioning of One-Shots and Ongoings. Mentioning of equipment and equipment destruction sounded fine and natural, but for that one sentence it got a little technical based on the wording of the game.

If the videos aren't meant for those people, then nevermind.

That is a great point... And, if I hadn't already filmed all of these and done post on all if them, I might correct that....

I plan on posting the review of SotM after all the hero vids are up. I hit all the basics there.

But, discussing them in these videos would have been wise, as well...

Thanks for all the support folks. I gained more subscribers and views yesterday than I did in my first two weeks of posting videos. Thank you all, so much.

I will post the links to the other videos in the series here as they are published for those of you who would like to see them. If you'd rather not divert attention from otherwise used forum time, you could subscribe to my channel.

That's a fun video, I particularly like the bit with AZ and mysterious dubbing!

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them, I think you have an interesting perspective on the game and a fun presentation.

The video was fun and engaging as before (and I never even looked a CC's moustache!)... but I'm going to point out that Argent Adept does not need Instruments to play Songs, his base power is called Vocalize for a reason!

Argeent Adept's vocalize power is very strong, in the early games/as a last resort. But, AA's at his full strength when he has the whole Link's Awakening ensemble assembled and he's blasting out his best accompaniments and performs.

Right. But you say that he needs to use his base power to use an Instrument to use a Song, his base power has nothing to do with playing his instruments, it can play songs on its own.

Or complaining about queuing? Or how the tea here doesn't taste right and you wish you'd remembered to bring some from home? Or getting hideously sunburned because you have no concept of being sensible in any weather any brighter than "very cloudy" because you're entirely unused to the sun and sit in a pub beer garden with your top off all day drinking frantically and eating pork scratchings and covering yourself in SPF 0.001 so you can "get a tan" for your upcoming foreign holiday?

Great Videos!

Have you considered using Youtubes editing options to add captions boxes where you've made a mistake? Like a little box that says 'oops! i mean this!' so that new players aren't confused?

The back of my neck also begs to differ, being irritatingly sunburned after about 10 minutes in the garden forcing pea flowers to have unnatural sex with each other.

I HATE being tanned as well, but unluckily I have the sort of pale skin that burns really easily and then turns brown and stays that way forever. My face and forearms look like they belong on a different body.

I have, I've just been swamped. My wife and I were moving two weeks ago, last week we were at Dice Tower Con 3, and this week my Mother-in-Law is in town. The work of filming and posting three videos a week is hectic enough (I compose all my own music, which adds another level of difficulty to things). Also, my focus after Dice Tower Con is getting my game designs taken care of, Arcane Wondersand Z-Man gave me some great notes on my games and showed some interest.

So, in short, no I won't be adding annotations.

HOWEVER, I will be addressing every mistake that has been pointed out to me (regardless of how politely it was revealed to me) in the first Villains video. So, that'll be an exciting occurance of a man eating humble pie before the internet.

Also, Lynxfox, the wiki has been an invaluable resource for this series.

(The Good, The Broken, and The Awesome... get it because Chrono Ranger's a cowboy and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" is an extremely popular western...) *sigh* Jokes are so much funnier when you explain them.

Hey folks!

You know what tastes great? Humble pie.

Here I sit down and discuss what I said that was wrong in my Sentinels Heroes videos.

Thanks for all the support on these videos folks, it has been a great inspiration to know people actually want you to point a camera at your ugly mug and talk about games. :)

The villains are coming; in fact, some decks make an appearance in this video.

I was thinking about this. And I realised that I say the last syllable of the word in a different way to "man". When I say "man" the short "a" phoneme is clear, but when I say "madman" it's almost like that second vowel isn't there and I pretty much end up with "madmn".

So for me it almost doesn't mean "insane male person" in my subconscious because of the way it's pronounced.

That's probably a bit weird, right?

I dunno...on the Yogscast (a series of gaming-related YouTube channels), some of them, for some reason I've never managed to uncover, at some point started pronouning "man" as "m'n" all the time whenenver preceded by another word. So "Batm'n", "Spiderm'n", "he's a dead m'n", and so on :D. I may or may not have started doing this too ;).

I will have to see if I can spot other shortened words in my vocabulary like that. Batman and Spider-Man are not. But milkm'n and firem'n are.
