When is the game out for the public?

I am about to start a campaign based on the starter pack and two free adventures already released. My question is does anyone have any reasonable time frame for the book to be released to the general public?

I see that the game has missed a lot of release time frames over the years, so it makes me nervous starting a campaign for a game that has yet to have its full rules released.

should i hold off till release? should I just use another system? or am i worrying for no reason and the game will be released soon?

Most current estimate is in retail GTG online store and brick and mortar store mid January 2021
KS backers should get books before Christmas 2020

I second what Sea-Envy said, you should be able to get it by late January. Printing is done and GTG are starting to get shipments and theyll be shipping those out over the next couple of weeks to KS backers.

Depending on what your campaign is like, I'd reccomend waiting since we're at the home stretch. That way you'll have the full rules of character creation and moderating the game. Personally character creation is what gets me jazzed to see what my players come up with and adapt my campaign accordingly.

Are you guys with shipping notices willing to say if your names are early alphabetically or if you had low backer numbers?

Based off the one person I know got their notice all they got was just a core rulebook and nothing else.  Based off their last name I'd also say alphabetical is likely not used or that it's used in combination with what they got.  

I got my confirmation as well and I backed at the "GM Kit" level (dice set, GM Kit, rulebook, coloring book, and Off the Rails Adventure). I'm also relatively early alphabetically (D) but I cant remember my backer number (nor can I find it. Sorry). Hope that helps.

At the time of the kickstarter, I was only able to back at the level of just the PDF (and it was unclear about stretch stuff like the HIstory and the future books, else I would have gotten those pdfs, too). Now I want the print version..

I'm backer #26 and a last name in the first third of the alphabet and have yet to get a shipping notice, but am getting the deluxe version of the book which might delay things if the early shipment from the printer was all the standard book.

No notification for me yet either.  I was backer #22 though the last third of the alphabet.   I also have the deluxe book and a regular version of the book.

So is the PDf of the book going to be available at drivethroughrpg? also I am in the UK can anyone speak to a realistic time to be in stores over here?

With my campaign, I am thinking of stalling it, I have been able to create my players PC through cutting and pasting bits of characters from the starter set. 

Where I will be really stuck is in villain creation as I have no clue how to do that and have very few exmaples to crib from.

My first villain I wanted to create is a champions villain called Black Harlequin who is a deadly Joker/Toyman hybrid.

You'll likely be able to get the PDF from the GTG store (https://store.greaterthangames.com/), once it's publicly available. They have to fulfill the Kickstarter orders first, though. :-)
