Would there be any interest here in our (admittedly small) community of people posting the Environments they've designed? I realize they are often strongly contextual to a story, but a couple lines' introduction here could provide enough context for others to re-use them.

I'm floating this idea because, well, I don't feel very skilled at making Environments, and Action Scenes generally benefit from having them.  I have designed a few, but they're merely serviceable.  I've had more fun results re-skinning ones from published sources.  Now I'm looking for more.

If others are interested in this, I'll certainly post the few I've designed as well.

(I also thought of doing something similar for non-simple Challenges.  I'm confident with basic Challenges, but I haven't gotten too much more clever than timed Challenges.)

Thoughts? Submissions?

I'm wrapping up the starter kit with my group and we'll be starting my own content as soon as I get the core rulebook. I'll post my environments and challenges when I make them, and in the mean time I would love to see others' ideas!

I think this is a great idea. Even better if they could somehow be organized better than just a forum thread. Not sure how though.

I’m a web developer; I can look into making a web app of some kind as soon as data starts coming through.

Anyone want to begin, or should I begin with one of my quite mediocre offerings?

All the environments I've been using are reskins of environments from the corebook, one-shots and starter kit. So please drkrash1969 go ahead and get started.

OK, since I was invited to go first, here we go - even though I only promise mediocrity.  This was an Environment used to represent one of the hero's powers going out of control, causing small black holes to open.  The Action took place iin a vacant lot behind some tenement buildings.  This is one of the few Environments I designed completely from scratch.

AURA's POWERS ARE OUT OF CONTROL!

Black Holes Appearing d12

Things Flying Everywhere d8

Aura is stressed out d6

GREEN

Minor Twists

Gravitational Forces: Hinder all with the Min die.

Flying Street Debris: Attack 1 target with Mid die.

News Crew Arrives on Scene: Challenge (1 success needed).

Major Twist

"Where'd the flying van come from?": Add 1 success needed to "Free First Responders" (a Challenge already in the scene)

YELLOW

Minor Twists

Flying Car!: Attack 2 targets with Mid die,

A Hurricane of Flying Debris: Hinder all with the Min die.  (I never realized that this is the exact same as a Green Twist)

More Innocent People Caught in Black Holes: Challenge (2 successes; 2 Round timer or they die).

Major Twist

More Holes Opening!: Advance Scene Tracker.

RED

Minor Twists

Torn Apart by a Black Hole: Attack 1 target with Max+Min

Torn Between Two Black Holes: Attack 1 target with Max die and Hinder with Mid die.  This penalty is Persistent.

Gas Main Exposed Near a Flame: Challenge (2 successes, 2 Round timer) + Hinder 1 target with Max die.  (Failure: lots of collateral damage.)

Major Twist

Buildings Start to Fall Down: Attack all with Max die.

Figure I can toss this environment in. It's technically attached to the final boss action scene of the current arc in my game, but I make all of my environments from scratch for the most part. There are some references to the Villain involved, but this is mostly here for some of the neat things in it.

This is intriguing; could you offer a little explanation of what's going on here?

The villain that the heroes are fighting is a sentient computer virus from SPACE and it's been driven more than a little insane. To the point where it propogates and communicates using internet memes, logical fallacies, and reaction images, as opposed to any actual language.

The environment is the inside of the network that it calls home, as the heroes experience it once {technobabble} puts them inside of it so that they can actually have an effect on it. Unfortunately, since the network is home to the Villain, it's basically an echo chamber for their insanity. This takes a few different forms, but generally it's not pretty for the heroes.

Interesting.  Thanks! When I have a moment, I'll post a similar one that took place inside one of the heroes' souls, where a war between competing magical DNA was taking place.
