Luck Or Genius: Attack using [power]. If you roll doubles, add that value to your Attack. If you roll triples, add all three dice to your Attack.
How is this supposed to work? My personal interpretation is:
Non-double and non-triple=Mid
Doubles but no triple: Mid*2
Triples=Mid*3
An alternative interpretation is:
Non-double and non-triple=Mid
Doubles but no triple: Mid*3
Triples=Mid*4
I honestly can't parse out how the third interpretation works, but I'm hoping for some other minds to help settle this. And to send the question to the Letters Page.

I haven't heard of an official answer, but my read on that would be a third interpretation:
- No doubles: Mid (the base value of any action with undefined dice).
- Doubles: Mid * 2 (the base value plus the value of the dice showing doubles, which would have to be Mid and Min or Mid and Max, so Mid.)
- Triples: Mid * 4 (the base value plus the values of all 3 dice).
Is that last potentially game-breaking on a lucky roll? Absolutely. Is SCRPG well-balanced? Never has been, never will be. It's no worse than the abilities that can create 10 d12 minions. Unfair TPK's are a feature, not a bug (the way the devs spin it).
If your GM is deliberately gaming that ability by rolling d6/d6/d6 on it and hoping for the triple, then I ask what the hell that GM is thinking. They'll have made a villain that is probably a speed bump but could dish out an OHKO. They kind of unpredictability doesn't do the GM or the players any favors.
