If the scene tracker iterates every time the environment takes a turn that favors larger groups. How do you guys compensate for that say in a 2 hero game?

I know some things scale like x minions per hero but there are a lot of scenes where there are elements that don't scale  and those elements usual are essential to succeeding.

Say a scene essentially requires 10 overcome attempts to succeed. If the heroes concentrate on the overcomes this will take 2 heroes 5 rounds but it will take 5 heroes 2 rounds. 5 rounds of taking attacks without defense or fighting back is brutal compared to just 2.

The pre-written modules have this problem, yes.  While they do provide rules for scaling the number of bad guys they didn't scale the Overcome stuff, and it really means that you ideally want to run them with 4 players minimum, or else houserule reduce the number of overcomes required.

That said, the actual encounter-building guidelines that have been released to backers do have extensive notes on how to properly scale all elements of the encounter to H, and hopefully future published modules will provide better guidance on the subject as well.

Thanks. Good to know they address this in the full game. I've got two players so I'll tone things down a bit.
