I intend to back (at least) the PDF version of the project, but I had 2 Kickstarter-related questions:
1. In other Kickstarters, you can pledge $1 or so and you're able to buy just Add-on's (in this case, the History of Sentinel Comics book). Will this backing option be a feature of this Kickstarter?
2. Does anyone know whether or not there will be a PDF version of the History of Sentinel Comics book available as an add-on?

You back it you automatically get History even just buying Core pdf from what I understand

1. They’ve said they’ll be using Backerkit so you can add on later. However, pledging for it during the campaign does help towards stretch goals
2. They have not said anything about a PDF for that. Just backing gets you a timeline pdf but that is not the whole book.

History of Sentinel Comics is a $50 hard copy product. They most certainly have never said they are giving it away.
The thing you get automatically is not the History book, but a PDF of the timeline of the history. Apparently the PDF is too large to be conveniently printed.
They have not said anything about a PDF of the full history book.
