This is a thread for making up new Citizens of the Sun!  I've had these three rolling around in my head for a while now...

Citizen Locks

Once upon a time, Loki, the trickster of the Norse gods, played a prank on Thor's wife, Sif. He cut off her beautiful golden hair while she slept, and shaved her scalp so close that it would never grow back. Thor's wrath was legendary, and to save his own life, Loki tricked the svartalfar -- the dark elves, or dwarves -- into making gifts for the gods as Loki's repayment. One was Thor's famous hammer, Mjolnir, but the gift to Sif was a new head of hair, woven from actual gold. So the stories say.

When young Goldie Russell's chemotherapy was finished, her hair was supposed to grow back. That's what they told her, but it never did. "Permanent alopecia", they called it, which is just doctor-talk for "bald". Hats and wigs became her options, but teenagers can be cruel, and they were never good enough. So perhaps it's no wonder that, when she found a book that talked about the Runes of Odin, which could answer a mortal one question, one time, she carved her own and simply asked for hair. Once she followed the instructions they gave, what she received was a wig of woven gold that dug tiny wires into her scalp and fused there permanently. Harder than steel, the hair could lengthen and shorten at will, animate to seize objects, even wrap around Goldie like a harness and lift her into the air, all controlled by the spirit of a dark elf that inhabited the hair, and whispered to Goldie in her mind.

Under the spirit's influence, a teenaged Goldie was soon striking back against those who had taunted her, and then fled from the heroes who came to put a stop to her petty revenge. By then, she had come to the attention of the Citizens of the Sun, who took her in and named her Locks. Now she fights for them, and for a world where people with powers -- even powers borrowed from other beings -- will rule over those who would despise them.

Citizen Stalk

Zhu Long's cult has a long reach, and never forgets or forgives. His agents, empowered by strange magics, travel the world to enact the commands of the Master.

One such was a lone assassin, sent to end the life of a thorn in the Master's side. Her name is unimportant; she was merely an extension of the Master's will. Stealth was her watch-word, and through excruciating poisonous baths and long magical rituals, she was granted the power to transform into nothing more than a living shadow. While in that form, she could flatten herself into a mere darkness on a wall, or sink into an existing shadow to lurk invisibly. But her mission was a failure; steps away from the target's door, she was discovered by the hero Visionary. With a cruel smirk, the world's most powerful psychic lashed out with barely-controlled power, causing a cerebral hemorrhage that left the assassin twitching on the ground in a near-fatal seizure.

The assassin awoke in a hospital with no memory of her life, her self, or her onetime master. Her movements were swift, silent, and sure as she escaped the hospital despite the mental damage, skills both physical and magical coming to her as easily as breath despite no memory of learning them. The only name she could claim was the one written on her chart: Jane.

In time, Jane discovered that she could not speak, despite near-perfect understanding of English, French, Japanese, Thai, and Lao. Her skills were those of infiltration and silent murder. She became a killer for hire, and within years had amassed a small fortune that did nothing to help her discover the secrets of her past, not even a country of origin.

When Citizen Dawn made herself known, Jane made efforts to locate agents of the Citizens and offered her services. Obeying an all-powerful leader... yes, that felt right.

Citizen Peril

Born in Nelspruit, South Africa in 1962, Ruth Masuku was a sickly child.  Despite repeated visits to medical facilities, even paying heavy bribes to gain the services of white doctors, no cause for her illness could ever be found. Ruth was simply weak and prone to disease. Miraculously, she survived childhood, and eventually made a life for herself.  She watched apartheid fall and saw Mandela freed from prison, but her own prison, her weak body, could not be overcome by mere politics and keys. It wasn't until her fifties that she discovered the truth: Her body was a natural nexus of life-draining negative energy.  As her own life force began to flag, the energy began to project beyond her own body, a field that inhibited healing and drew life from living things around her.  Plants died after hours in her presence, strong men became exhausted, the sick came near death. She learned to exert her will over this power, to rein it in or push it out with a vengeance, and in that act she found something amazing.  When the field of negative energy was draining other living things, her own body began to heal. Like a martial artist training with heavy weights on their arms and legs, her body had been laboring under a vast load for fifty years. With the negative energy briefly sated by draining other creatures, Ruth's own body surged with a vitality she'd never known, even healing wounds in moments that should have taken days.

Ruth became a wanderer, always on the move, minimizing her impact on those around her while taking every opportunity to release her power and feel that strength, that health. In a fluke meeting, she discovered that some beings, those with powers, could fulfil her needs much more easily than mere mortals, and soon she was being called Citizen Peril and able to leech the life of dozens, even hundreds of people with the powerful life force she craved. There was a cost in exchange, of course, the price of her service alongside a foolish teenager and a silent asian assassin.  But Ruth was a cunning woman.  She would find a way to benefit, in the end.

I made one for upcoming game, maybe a second.

Citizen Arts I don’t have a whole lot of backstory on, but basically she was someone who was born with superpowers.  She can draw sigil on surfaces with regular and people around her are emotionally effected by this sigils.  In the game this manifests as boosts and hinders for entire groups of people.

Citizen crafts is in fact, not a citizen at all.  A little 12 year old girl who was accidentally exposed to a derivative of isoflux alpha, she has the ability to transmute matter.  The process has no real combat potential, but the citizens want her to basically create infrastructure for them (make beds, linens, chairs, lights, etc.  They are basically trying to kidnap her, and have already named her (one of the sessions involves saving her.)
