Quick question. Has there been any announcements regarding the Sentinels RPG live session? Specifically, is session 1 still on schedule for June 19th, or did it get postponed? I'm planning on burning a PTO day to watch, so I want to make sure the session is still on for next week.

It was postponed. The RPG Kickstarter has been postponed to July 17 from May 23, so we could estimate the livestream will probably be postponed about 8 weeks as well, so about mid-August. However, that was before the last round of OblivAeon postponements, which might push the RPG Kickstarter back by another month or so, which would push the livestream back as well.
And yes, they'll both archive it on Twitch (now that they know how to do that) and put it on their YouTube channel. Folks have asked them to upload it in podcast/audio format as well but haven't gotten a response.

According to Extrasode # 3 of The Letters Page podcast (released today), episode 1 of the Sentinels RPG won’t be delayed any further, and is on for this upcoming Tuseday … June 19.
The Sentinels RPG Kickstarter, however, has been delayed again … until January of next year.

Thanks for the update! I'm a bit sad to hear about the delay of the RPG, but at least this gives me and my gaming group more time to try and squeeze the starter kit into our cycle.

Oh, whoops! I'm only 8 minutes into today's episode. Had to finish Tuesday's first.
I'm afraid >G is going to learn a hard lesson about momentum and brand enthusiasm. By the time January rolls around, a lot of Sentinels fans will have moved on to other things. Many already have, waiting for OblivAeon.

It may have an impact but I think they have a bigger one running a KS for the RPG while backers of OblivAeon still don’t have their content. Honestly they are stuck between a rock and a hard place no matter what direction they take from my view as to complaints or loss of momentum.

Yeah. Rock and a hard place indeed. I was worried that having it next month, without OblivAeon backers having their stuff, would hurt the RPG Kickstarter. There’s already people there saying they’ll never back another GtG project again.
But also … Yeah … That’s an incredible loss of momentum … 16 months (give or take) after the release of the Starter Kit is the launch of the core rulebook Kickstarter?! Sigh.
I guess it’s not delaying us getting the content at all. But seeing as they won’t know what stretch goals will be met, etc., (assuming there are stretch goals), it’s hard to believe production won’t be delayed some, but of course, I have no idea what the original timeline was.
And, I guess they will be releasing some print and play free stuff in the meantime, so that’s something.
But, still, I’m reading a novel right now using the bookmark that came with the Starter Kit. And I see COMING TO KICKSTARTER IN 2018, and it makes me sad.
But at least the livestreams won’t be delayed … been looking forward to those too!

*sigh* poor C&A. Under pressure and unable to deliver.
At this rate by the time OblivAeon is released Christopher and Adam will be too old to work on the rpg.

To be fair, OblivAeon is on the boat. If Legacy were to materialize out of our collective dreams, fly to the boat, grab the shipping containers and fly around like a cape-clad Santa Claus, folks who'd backed the kickstarter would have it today.
And, C&A said that the delay in the kickstarter wasn't going to impact the release of the game. So one presumes that their production schedule had the game being ready for pdf around the time the kickstarter will release.
Also, while a lot of folks are angry and some may even ragequit on this, that's not most gamers. In my gaming group, we've got a bunch of folks who play SOTM, and I think only one of us backed the kickstarter. The others who plan on buying it were waiting for the actual release (some didn't have the cash at the time, others don't do kickstarter). None of us are particularly upset about the delay.
Don't get me wrong, I "KHHAANNNNNN"ed when I heard the podcast, but to quote Mr Incredible, "We'll get there when we get there."

I have been Following the RPG since Gen Con 2015. I am also suffering waiting for the RPG but 6 more months is nothing to what I have been waiting for.
I am still excited, but having a hard time getting people to just play the game. People want a hard proof book to make things. The game system is out, it is fun. Let us just go it.

I mean, we have enough rule to construct a halfway decent adventure. We just don't have the character creation rules yet so we're stuck with the freedom five and unity.

Just make your own, Use the current heroes as a template. While it may not be exactly like thiers, it can be close enough that one can get a game started. This game is much looser and can deal with stuff like this. I have been running a game for a year in this system, have done a few short games and about to start another one . with new heroes. iI is lots of fun. For instance, just replace all the names with something else, and boom you got a new hero. Personally, I just ask people to describe their hero and give them 4 power, 4 qualities and make a personalized Quality for the. Then ask if they want 8,8,8 status(even-tempered) or 6,8,10(gets more powerful the worst thing gets) status. Do my best to make good abilities (Normally I just give them while we play, it if is a thing they are going to do often) and have like 2 floating"points" to add something different to this mold. I just let people's description guild the creation process.
