I ran my first game of this last Saturday, and I have to say we had a blast. It was a lot easier than I thought to run it. I can understand why people are saying this is a good RPG for beginners. My players were able to grasp the concepts quickly, and the stuff we were unsure about weren't that big of a deal. The story flowed great. I used index cards, and that was an awesome idea, everyone loved the index cards and it fit so well with the game.
Some of the highlights of the night were:
a mini Absolute Zero Robot Grappling with a spiderbot on top of an unconcious Argent Adept trying to defend him.
Bunker trying to pick up a boulder embedded in a historical building to throw at some robots and the entire building crashing down on him instead.
A spectacular EMP grenade bomb to clear the tree of all the spider bots.
Absolute Zero constantly trying to shoot ice at spiders and failing everytime because of too much webbing.
A mini flying legacy robot flying to perch on heros shoulders and provide inspiration speeches to them in a high squeaky voice.
Wraith flew around investigating the battlefield and found the weakness of the robots very quickly.
I am excited to run my players through the next adventure. We all had fun and were laughing the whole time.
