Does anyone know if the character sheets will hold up to dry or wet erase markers so that they can be reused for different groups? It doesnt feel like pencil will do the job.
This would also let me track hero points on the sheet where it is intended, so it would be useful between issues as well as between groups.
I haven't tried it, but I would highly advise against it.
If you want to use the characters more than once, than I'd advise either xeroxing the second and third pge of the character booklets(the two you'd be doing any writing on) or just giving your players some scrap paper to write ther current HP, Boosts and other what-have-you on it.
Or just print them out from the digital copies. I suspect that was one reason they included the digital version free with the print edition.
Better yet, buy a few binder sleeves from an office supply store (or a big-box store). Slide those character sheets into the binder sleeve, and you now have a surface usable with dry/wet erase markers, with no damage to the sheets themselves.
It's what I do with all my demo characters and pretty much every convention game I run.
In this particular setting, that doesn't work so well because the character sheets are actually bound in booklet form.
But you only need to write on the actual character sheet, yes?
So hand players the booklet and say, “don’t write in this.” Then hand them a binder sleeved character sheet – you all have the pdf; just print out those specific pages – and tell them “write on this instead”.
Depending on how long you plan on playing with those particular sheets though, it may just be a better idea to just make copies every time you need them. Dry erase on those plastic covers won't really last in the long run, if you don't want your saved up hero points and other info that carries from session to session to rub away...
I tried to download the PDF version after I purchased the physical copy for this very reason- but the links they sent me in my confirmation won’t allow me to get it. Emailed GTG but have not received a reply on this yet… any advice?
