Hi there. I have run into a conundrum. Should I buy the starter kit first and then the core rulebook or just skip the starter kit and wait for the core rulebook to come out? I'm not new to RPGs but at he same time the starter kit seems like the best way to learn the rules of the sentinel comics Thus my conundrum and me asking you guys for help.

At this point we don't have a set date on when the KS for the core book will launch (outside most likely Q1 2018) nor how long after the KS it will be until the book is delivered. It just depends how quickly you want to get started into this and see examples of how characters are built from core heroes we know.

I'll probably go with the starter kit then.

I'd go starter kit for a few reasons.
1) We're like 85% sure it is going to hit in December, and the core book isn't going to be for a while
2) The system looks easy while I was playing it, but there is a lot of nuance between the different characters. Particularly Bunker is almost a different type of character sheet compared to the others, and I'm not sure if the core book will include the FV plus Unity since they come with the Starter kit. Having these characters to study might help Parse aspects of the system.
2.5) Playing the game and seeing how it works when all put together is going to make it much easier to have answers when your players come up with crazy concepts, and it will also give you experience running the game so when you look to the rules things are concrete rather than abstract.
3) Lore. The Starter kit is going to have a bunch of lore stuff for us to go through. And we know it tells the story of the last major run by the FV, of how Legacy becomes Heritage and of the Rise of Daybreak and who all is on that team. Even if I was not going to be running the RPG ever, the starter kit tells the story of how we get from Oblivaeon to the RPG and that is super cool for me. Also, some of that art is amazing from what little I was able to sneak a peek at.

I noticed you capitalized Parse? Was that pun intentional?
