RPG Preview Adventure with Christopher

There is a new board game cafe in St. Louis called Pieces, and they have generously offered to let us use their space to run some preview adventures for the upcoming Sentinel Comics RPG! At these events, Christopher will run a 3ish hour adventure using the Sentinel Comics RPG system and pre-made characters. There will be room for up to 5 players per session. The current plan is for Christopher to run two events per day, one at 4pm and the other at 8pm, on Sunday, 26 February, and Sunday, 5 March.

My question for you all is, would any of you be interested in and able to attend any of those sessions? I know most people here don't live in St. Louis, but I wanted to check in with you all first before we publicize it in other ways.

Any chance of it being recorded or having a live feed?

Any chance of flying me out to St. Louis?

Those are both terrible weekends for me.  Otherwise I would totally drive to St Louis to do one of these sessions.  

Same here.  I've been meaning to hit up Side Project Brewing anyway.

We could probably move one or the other to late March. Is there a weekend that works better for people then?

Let me find out my wife's work schedule for March and other events occurring and I'll update.

This sounds like a blast, and I'd love to do this!  Need to check with spouse. I'm available both weekends, but the second is just before PAX East, so I probably shouldn't do that…

Unfortunately, Sundays make it really challenging to drive there, participate, then drive back in one weekend (and retain sanity/enjoyment), so I probably can't make it.

Did you say Christopher was going to do something in STL on March 5th. That seems pretty unlikely given JCC7.

I live near St. Louis and would be interested in attending either or both.

The weekend of the 26th is definitely out; the other one would be dicey given something at work that is daily causing my stress level to creep up.

A later weekend in March might be doable, and a Saturday might be more doable than a Sunday, depending on how or whether I could coordinate schedules with my ex for handing off kids (but I'm already overnighting Who's Yer Con, so March would probably be bad anyway.)

March 25th would be the date that works best for me.   However, you certainly don't have work around my schedule if the original dates work better for Christopher.

About the same for me coming from Columbus, Ohio.   

I've got closer to a 5 hour from Chicago, myself.

ALMOST short enough to make a day-trip feasible.

I've definitely done day trips to Chicago, so it is entirely doable :)

Like I said, also an excuse to hit up Side Project. 

I may see if I can get the 6th off of work, which would make the 5th a little less painful.

Don't take the 6th off yet! That won't actually be the date - it is more likely to be later in March.

The sooner I know, the easier it will be.  Because I dont' game often enough as it is, and this really appeals to me.

Same applies here.  The earlier the dates can be confirmed the better.  

Anyone wanna carpool for this if you're passing by/coming from the Chicago area? I'd totally put up some gas money, and hopefully some delightful conversation to keep the drive from being a drag.

I'd be interested in going if there are other folks heading down from Chicago, depending on the date.

I wouldn't say no, but I'm planning on spending the evening and coming back the next day.

I'm located in Jersey with a limit on how much I can spend and normally scheduled work days on weekends, so unless this happens somewhere on the east coast I'm afraid I don't see myself able to make it. Which stinks, because I'd love the chance to a) meet Christopher and b) absorb anything I can on the RPG.

We are working on scheduling out actual sessions in the next 4-8 weeks. Unfortunately, we are right now spending all of our extra time prepping for PAX East. I'll announce something when I have the dates locked up!

It would honestly be pretty cool to coordinate with the other RPG devs to have multiple cross-country events whenever this is decided. That way more people might be able to contribute to any feedback about the adventures, system, or Pre-made characters.

No, YOU'RE only suggesting this because Dave is only 4 hours from where you live! Of course YOU want to drive into DC instead of talking your friends into driving the 12 hrs to go to St. Louis again. =]

Anyone who went, is there any pictures of the charater sheets or of any other papers avaible to the public. I wanna see how much they changed since the last public playtest.

As far as I can tell no actual session has been held yet.  

It has not. We are still working out a time to have them that will work with both Christopher's schedule and the bar's.

Nope, it is not!

We have decided to save this until OblivAeon is entirely at the printer. That way, Christopher won't have to shift as many gears, which is a classic source of Christopher delays.

Personally, I can make most weekends work, given enough foreknowledge.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for future updates.
